Last week Michael Gilmour from ParkLogic walked me through an online presentation on all of the innovation taking place at ParkLogic. Michael has been around the game a long time and in my opinion is the most technically detailed operator in the domain monetization space. He has always had a zero tolerance policy against suspicious […]

So this service only for parking whales? During the signup it asks you what your parking revenue is, and the minimum is $1500/month.

if you have good traffic which 99% of all parked domains don't, you don't need any saving. Google did not get rid of it because it was worth something. If you do happen to have a name that gets real traffic and its in a category that has a high cpc, start a blog, sell guest posts and links and make a few hundred dollars a week while you wait for a buyer. Obviously if you do not have real traffic and backlinks, you wont make anything, people are not crazy. Most should just park with a bin. We must be honest with each other here.

It should not be Optima because I asked Michael that, they are at NamesCon but I will make sure to get you an answer.

Many thanks for all of the comments and questions about ParkLogic and my apologies for the delay in responding to this discussion.

With traffic domains, while advertisers want valuable traffic then domain traffic monetization will flourish. So what happened over the last year and most notably at the end of September 2025? Over recent years, Google arbitrage increased to the point that this lower quality traffic dwarfed traditional good quality natural type-in domain traffic and Google advertisers revolted. Google then followed suit by opting all advertisers out of the domain channel and effectively smashing revenues by up to 95%. At no stage did ParkLogic participate in Google arbitrage.....I liken it to peeing in your own pool! You may make some short-term cash but ruin an industry for the long-term.

This outcome of this cash grab was eminently predicable and at the beginning of 2024 I pivoted ParkLogic on the basis that the AFD would no longer exist. Form my perspective, the only solution was to innovate our way through to a more sustainable future for the monetization industry. At the beginning of 2024 we monetized about 65% of our revenue with Google, it’s now less than 1%. The big change was a completely new technology platform called Artemis that has over 100+ advertising feeds plugged into it that compete in real-time for domain traffic. You can check out the details on our website.

ParkLogic typically works with the larger domain traffic portfolio owners but watch this space as we have a suite of innovations coming out in the coming months that will likely change this. I would like to finish with the following….I’ve been in the industry for 25 years and have the privilege of making some great friends in an industry that I love. I will be at the upcoming ICA event in Los Angeles and would be happy to catch-up if you plan on attending.

Your politeness aside, isn't this essentially an admission that the domain parking sector has failed to police itself for years?

Can you address the first question? Is your platform limited to only parking whales making over $1,500? That's a hurdle that I hit during sign up.
