discuss Domain Listing/Selling Script

Would NPs care to comment about the domain names listing/selling script that they use, or have used before?

There's one I've found so far: http://www.icloudcenter.com/domains-marketplace-script.htm but it seems to be "too cheap" to be reliable...

Sounds almost like you just want to have a listing directory and parking site.

Maybe you could do basic wordpress theme with a tables plugin to list the domains, a submission form, a payment gateway, and a parking script.

What youre looking to do is basic on the surface only. Still complex though.

I don't need payments.

smartscriptsolutions.com and their Domain Trader seems to be an abandoned project.
Its "About Us" page says:
"Write something about what the company does here."
Doesn't instill lots of confidence...
Besides, it does far more than what I need.

Smart script solutions is an old script, I have owned it for years only last year I decided to give it another go. It's not like wordpress you have to know smarty php to edit this script, only taken me 5 years to even get this far lol .

And yes, they'd pay for the names (only those belonging to a very nichy category) to be listed on my site, for all the promo and marketing.

No, no payments. All transactions between the sellers (listers) and buyers are at their leisure.
The same goes for contacts.
It's intended to be and a hands-free system, apart from the fact that listers pay me for the listings, using PPal, only after their domains are accepted for listing.

Your best bet is something custom. WP is going to need constant updates and will eventually break somewhere depending on your theme and plugins. That'll need to be fixed. Other scripts will need to be updated.

I haven't found anything better than FolioTrader from codecanyon.
Still, some substantial customization will be required (hopefully with the author's help).

Yes, it's good. the author will help and usually at a fee from my understanding

I just looked at Classipress, but couldn't find anything that could help with my requirements.

I've tried a lot of CMS, but haven't found the perfect one yet. I tried prestashop, but it seemed to need a lot of customising and removal of unwanted features. I put it on a multi-hosting plan, and it ran up my inodes, so I removed it.

I'm using uauctions to list names on http://xyz1.com , and that also seemed to have some potential, but you need to upgrade to the paid version (which is only a few dollars) but the only payment method is PayPal, and I will not use, or do anything that helps PayPal after they tried to scam me. Without the paid version, you can't add Google analytics.

I started a thread here about using Google spreadshetts to create listings to include in multiple sites.

foliotrader is good if you dont have money

in codecanyo.net there alot script domain seller.....but the best thing is wp+woocommerce or prestashop..you can make magic with them..... or use PHP and get control of everything...

It looks quite good. However, the auction function seems to be the center here, and I don't need auctions...
