Domain history

Hi all, I have a question about a domains history.
I went to www.Web.Archive.org to see what has been going down with the domain name past. it is available to reg. My research tells me the name, which could be a first name or nickname, was reg in 1993 and was a sex/porn site. Dropped in 2011 just sitting there
I couldnt find anything bad about the name, no backlinks. Would its history of sex deter you from reg it and develop a nice friendly site? Would that be enough to restore some credibility?
Should i forget about it?

If it's been a porn site for the last 18 years, I'd suggest that it would still be a porn site if you re-reg it. Have you checked to see if it's banned by Google? If it is, it will be a lot of hard work getting it reinstated and overcoming this 18 years as a porn site.

good chance its banned by google. just try to find another name and reg that, lots of good names out there.
