Hey Folks

I've noticed that I am getting more and more of these fake "domain about to expire emails"

They basically word the email to try and coax you into thinking your domain is about to expire and have a link to click and make payment urgently. When you read the email properly you see that they say cr@p like DOMAINNAME.com needs to be submitted to search engines and if you do not act now the offer will expire completely and some blah blah blah nonesene about how important it is to submit ur domain, they basically trying to sell you domain submission service but disguising it as domain expiry notification.

I used to get these emails every now and then but now I see they have become more and more prevalent.

Is it just me or are you guys also getting more of these mails?

I get these also and really find them annoying. I usually click them and mark them as SPAM or JUNK. But the one noted above from GoDaddy LOGO I am afraid to mark as SPAM because I fear other legit emails from GoDaddy might get filtered as spam. There should be a law about them using GoDaddy in their Title/Subject

As most know, never click any links in these emails. A new one showing up lately is the fake 'Godaddy email verification' scam. For GD scams you can forward the emails to [email protected]. Other registrars should have similar reporting tools. Unfortunately, these scammers change domains and email frequently.
