I registered it in my newbie days when I didn't know better. I also didn't know this before I previously registered the name but a major medical association (.org) has purchase the 2 keyword combo that happens to be my domain name.

My domain name itself is would make an excellent directory of a certain type of doctor affiliated with this association. The association's .org is a 4 letter abbreviation. It's full company name ends in -trics: Xxxx Xxxdiatrics Medical Association, Inc.

My domain name is XxxxXxxdiatrists.com and the keywords are generic so I believe there is little risk of infringement.

I'm compelled to donate the domain for tax benefits. Others tell me to sell it to them for big bucks because they are a probably not a not-for-profit. I've looked online for the corporation entity status with no luck.

Has anyone donated a domain name and wrote it off for tax benefits?

Have you made income/capital gains from domain sales to write it off from tax?

You can only write off the cost of registration/renewals and/or acquisition costs.

This would be a B2B transaction so yes, it would be income. I'm wondering if there are accountants that even acknowledge these things. Has anyone used the services of a domain name lawyer?
