Hi guys,

new to this forum. Interested in the opinion. I want to buy a domain from a domainer. I don't want to post an exact name, but I need at least a rough idea what it may cost ($XX,$XXX,$XXXX, more). The name is 2 kws, no hyphens, similar to "telephonecodes" or "countrynames" - very similar but not either one of these. The extention is NOT .com or .net (could be .info, .biz, .us or .org).

What would YOU reasonably sell it for?

Thanks

Sorry, nearly impossible to give a estimate on such a vague description. I might suggest the site in my sig instead. Just type in your keywords, select the extension, and set words = 2 to see related domain sales. You can click on the column headings to sort as neede. Post back or send me a PM if you have problems or are not finding what you need. Good luck!

Cheers,
BidNo

Well if we can't see the name we're can't give you an estimate or an idea if the name is worth how much you are thinking of paying.

Don't think it is such a good idea to post it in public.

Anyway, I now suspect the name costs way more than what I'd want to shell out for it. I just ordered an independent domain appraisal to be sure my guess is right.

paid for appraisals are totally useless...full time domaineers never really use them to guide their purchasing activities. Just PM the name to someone for an unbiased opinion - I, for one, will not steal your deal. Save your money with the appraisal.

Good luck with your conundrum.

thanks dannis

yeah, a domain "appraisal" turned out to be useless waste of money.

however I can see where the domain owner may see a value of mid to high $X,XXX on this domain. That what I would ask too if a really BIG buyer come along. But I fail to see why a BIG buyer would be interested in a second-tier domain. So, doubt I and the current owner will find a middle ground.

Just slapped a "US" at the end of that 2-word name, and registered a freely available .com name. Probably no type-ins (but neither for original domain), but who cares since it would be developed.

since you didnt buy it and regged your own .com version of it what was the name? since you are developing it the name you regged in .com is probably better than the one you would have bought off of someone else in one of those other extensions.

its rule not to put domain here for apraisal if it is not yours. i would suggest you to make your own research. look to ovt results for it with extension and without, look to dnsalesprice.com to see if something similar was sold at what price, look to google for page rank. and based on this numbers you cqan approximatelly tell how much. good luck and welcome here.
