discuss Domain #6 Sold

Honestly, I am at a loss for words. This domain that sold, sold on the GoDaddy Premium Listings. It isn't enough money to get excited about. It was more than I paid! And once payment goes through Ill share the domain name. For those of you that have seen my domains . . . Lets put it this way, you all hated it. I liked it and thought it was creative . . . until I came here. And honestly, I wouldnt reg it again, so this isn't I told you so. no this is I am so relieved. And if I am indeed learning, and get out of the red, maybe just maybe there is some hope for me!

Even terrible names have a chance of selling (if priced right) .. that's the problem with domaining .. it's not a question of absolutes .. everything is various shades of grey. Lower quality names simply have a lower chance of selling .. but sometimes they will sell ... just as sometimes great names sit on ice for years.

You can't take anything away from a small number of sales .. just as there is no take-away from a few great names not selling. That's why participating in a forum like this really helps us all learn .. as individuals it's hard to get a realistic picture of the industry because most of us don't have the volume .. but as we get together and share information like this .. we can get a bigger picture past the random one-offs and more towards the actual probabilities and overall averages which help us refine what to buy and how to better value names.
