There's somehting I've noticed, I'm not sure if everyone is like this but hey, it's just a thought. If I see a domain I like and it's at godaddy, and it's cheap, I would not go for it.. but if that same was at Dynadot(The best), I would go for it. Does everyone think like that?

Personally I think Dynadot sucks for selling a domain. I just sold 30 names through them. I had to have the buyer request for the domains he wanted. Then I had to accept the request. TEDIOUS!!! Although Dynadot rocks when buying domains, and the interface doesn't look to shabby. Godaddy, I hate their interface, but love the easy pushes.

I think that's probably true for some people. I know I would avoid domains registered at 1and1 (like many others I assume). I would also tend to stay away from registrars without a free push. This would hurt domains that would sell for low $xx the most.

GoDaddy I wouldn't mind because transferring out shouldn't be too difficult.

Well, For me If I see a domain is Registered at GoDaddy.com I will most likely buy it if I were looking to actually buy. Only because I know that Godaddy is Truly the best register going right now IMO! I like knowing that my domains are safe and with a company that pretty much dominates the Domain and Hosting industry. And looks to be around for many years to come. So my names are with Godaddy.com!

..... godaddy go

godaddy is OK for a push, but namecheap is sweet.
1+1 is the total kiss of 8-X 8-X 8-X 8-X 8-X for domain reselling.
I would refuse to pay until after the name had been transferred and tell the seller to drop 8-X for any suggestion of a sideways push in 1+1.

If I really like a name I'll take it from anywhere as you can always transfer it away, but if the name is at enom or a enom reseller it provides a superfast push, enter username and hit push, done, so I do prefer them.

well....

I think it would only hurt the sale price by as much as it would cost to transfer the name if it is registered at a crappy place. so only if the domain is worth $X-$XX might it have any real effect.

There are some registrars I won't even deal with. So yes, the registrar can affect the value of the domain or the ability of it to be sold.
