Alright, a kindred spirit! Another artist w/ an interest in domain names. Cool.
I pound on, reshape, cut and weld alot of different metals, but my niche is really functional/found art. Specifically, I look for unique, and unusual metal artifacts, (found objects), modify them as necessary for my design, and then build one of a kind lamps and furniture for a handful of galleries and specialty furniture stores that carry my work. I have a shop/studio filled to the brim w/ materials I have collected from numerous, diverse sources, including JPL/NASA scrap, plane and train graveyards, antique shops, used motion picture equipment brokers and military surplus stores.
My biggest seller over the past couple of years is my "Route66" line made w/ orphaned parts from vintage automobiles and featuring lampshades that are made with classic automobile hubcaps- one of my favorites being the Lincoln Zephyr. (In fact, I am so taken by the art deco/streamliner design line of the Zephyr, that I regged a terrible name: Zephyr.tv, during a weak moment)

It's been in a holding pattern along w/ several other sites I am working on, waiting for my web design skills to catch up to my eye and the look of the sites that I want to put out there to represent me. Additionally, all of the lamps pictured are now long gone, although still representative.
I'm glad you asked. :lol: Oh, the metalman question. One of the handles that a few people started giving me was metalman, so when I saw the term dropping, albeit a .biz, I couldn't resist adding it to my collection. Once a packrat, always a packrat, I guess. Now if I could just be as selective w/ my domain names, as I am w/ what metal objects I pick up...
