On March 24th I chatted with someone from Sav.com and told them I wanted to redeem a domain. They told me I couldn't redeem the domain that day and to wait between 3 and 5 days. I waited and after 5 days I spoke to them again, they told me to pay 80 dollars and I paid. Since then 18 days have passed and they haven't redeemed my domain. Every time I say they couldn't and that it went into pending delete. Every time I say to be patient because they escalated the situation to a superior. No one from them ever wrote to me. All the information from them was confusing, they have no idea what I'm talking about. Every time they told me that they might not be able to redeem the domain and to make a backorder.
After 18 days they told me that maybe it's a premium domain and that's why they couldn't register it.
I think someone there was interested in taking the domain and has been making fun of me for 18 days.
What do you think, how do you think it can be solved?
Conclusion: On March 24th the redemption period had not started and they told me to wait 5 days until the redemption period starts. After 5 days I paid 80 dollars and waited 8 days after which they told me that the redemption period had expired.

Yes you might be right, but you must share more details, else we are beating on a phantom.
The next step is contact ICANN and report them that SAV did not fulfill their contract agreement or how ever it is named.
edit: if domain is in Pending Delete, time to use a drop catch service!

Sav is not trying to steal your domain name. They are just incompetent.

They have one of the most responsive yet unhelpful customer service I've ever seen.

They'll respond but they won't help.

Just take your refund and backorder the domain name at DropCatch, SnapNames and GNAME.

Then pray that the bidding war doesn't get too crazy.

I have a pretty good impression of SAV. It really depends on the extension you're dealing with this time—some registries tend to arbitrarily raise prices, making it hard for registrars to update in time. A notorious example would be extensions like .cyou and .icu operated by Shortdot SA.
