In March of 2016 @steitieh was found guilty of shill bidding on NamePros with @tha-she. While these two members are no longer permitted to conduct business with each other here, @steitieh is still able to participate in the marketplace and carries an undeserving PRO badge.

Recently, Rami was accused of shill bidding again. However, the evidence is circumstantial, at best, but it's admitted by him that he had close personal acquaintances bid on his auctions โ€“ something that we all know that most other marketplaces would never tolerate.

Beware: if you choose to bid on one of @steitieh 's auctions, know that someone else may be purposefully bidding you up.

@tha-she please answer why did u put up fake reviews for auctions you bid up? You seem to remember lots of details about other things except when it comes to rami auctions.
would you mind pointing me to where i did...

No, that would be your 5th shill bid at an auction held by @steitieh. I was unaware of the NNN.me auction that@iAchilles mentioned. I reported you for the following four auctions that you won, but never took control over the domains:
Exactly, how many times did you win an auction and ask Rami to pardon you from payment?

And how exactly do you explain your positive trader score left by Rami on these 4+ auctions when the transactions never took place?
Edit: Rami never left you feedback. This was something else I brought up regarding your pattern of bids and purchases that's considered "confidential" and don't believe that I can share it without receiving an infraction.

That takes me no where but to all my trade reviews....

I just showed you at least 4 transactions that you never paid for, but left positive feedbacks. What is your confusion now? You won these auctions with outrageous bids ( bidding people up) never paid for them, then left positive feedback to cover up the tracks. I am not sure what you do not remember? You and Rami were doing it time after time. If this was one incident. What was your arrangement with Rami? We know you guys cheated. We want to know the details of your deals?
I have some more info on this. I will not disclose at this time. I want you to come clean yourself.

There are 100's of auctions where @tha-she bid for Rami and other people paid insane amounts for worthless domains. These people will be coming out now asking for their money back. Someone better start talking soon.

I bought total 2-3 domains from rami.. maybe total of $70. for the names I got, the prices seemed reasonable.

I won't speculate on cheating or not... I don't think I know enough.. but I will say 2 simple and honest observations.. to which I believe I am entitled:

1 - Rami has always been one of the most polite and friendly people I ever talked to (briefly as may be) on here. a true gentleman really.

2 - Rami auctions have often amazed me in terms of the prices they were fetching. I mean it as a good kind of awe though. as in, here is a guy who's been round for longer than me, and knows how to get the max out of his sales and names! as in: more power to him.. congrats!

these are my honest views and opinions. I mean no disrespect by them to anyone, or Rami, unless of course it may be one day proven beyond doubt that disrespect is all someone deserves through their actions. thank you and I hope the mods resolve this. it's obviously terrible to have somoene who cheats others on here, and its equally bad to accuse someone who is innocent. for those reasons, I'd get on it real quick if I was the mods.

Can someone please ban @ksusha64? This person is copying/pasting the same thing over and over again without even looking at the posts. Why don't you actually check what you're copying/pasting before you believe it to be true. Show us screenshots of these "fake reviews."

All of those auctions are from February 2016 and March 2016 and there is not a single TradeReview to/from Tha-She from/to steitieh during that time.

People that act like @ksusha64 are what's wrong with this industry: blindly blabbering off about things you haven't even checked yourself.

(If I missed something, everything I said about ksusha64 is still true.)

I'm closing up my account here, but I just want to say that I've done business with Rami several times. He's always been a true gent and there was even a couple times he was super patient and understanding that I was in a situation and suddenly didn't have the money right away. Hell, Eric could attest to that. I ended up paying him, but he was super nice the whole way through, and I bet if I needed to cancel the man would have let me.

Shill bidding would surprise me and I don't know if it's denial, but my gut is saying no to this, as he's always been a kind man and a mentor.

With that, I'm done here after I wrap a few things up.

@iAchilles - I haven't been able to locate a report for this Feb 2016 auction. Did you report it?

------

All of the links provided in this thread by @David Walker were part of his original report in March.

I don't know why he's explaining it any differently now than he did months ago. This is something that management needs to clarify. There's no reading between the lines here, and I'm not making this up. That sentence is clear as day: They were unable to prove that shill bidding did not take place and were limited.
You appear to still be misunderstanding my message. I don't know why but I did my best to explain it to you and so did other members.

Here's the full message again from March:
We were able to confirm via video evidence that a few deals were completed between them as they should have been.

Unfortunately, they were unable to provide the necessary evidence (and we were unable to find the necessary evidence) to make a determination about the .CC auction. As they both told it, when asked separately, tha-she asked if she could back out of the deal and Rami agreed. Their stories match, but that doesn't mean much. They believe the conversation happened over the phone.

Since they were unable to provide the necessary evidence, they received the following message:
This message is for both of you. Please read it carefully, because there will be no further warnings or exceptions made. If we find out that you are not following the rules below, we will immediately revoke your access from the NamePros Marketplace. There will be no investigation and there will be no appeal. This is your one and only warning.

Since you two were unable to provide adequate evidence that shill bidding did not take place between the two of you, the rules below have been placed on your accounts and MUST be adhered to for all transactions you partake in on NamePros with anyone. There will be no exceptions to these rules.

Rules:
  1. NEVER bid on an auction unless you have the funds ready to pay for it and will pay for it within 7 days.
  2. You two may never bid on each other's auctions again. You can conduct deals via private message ("Conversation") on NamePros, but you may never participate in an auction run by the other member. You are banned from participating in each other's auctions.
  3. All communication about deals that take place on NamePros, with ALL members, MUST take place in private messages ("Conversations") on NamePros. You may never discuss deals that originate on NamePros outside of NamePros. Never discuss them on Skype, email, phone, etc. If we ever notice that a deal was not discussed in full on NamePros again, you both will lose access to the NamePros Marketplace.
These rules are not debatable. You must follow them if you wish to use NamePros Marketplace.

This case is closed until we have something else to investigate or they violate one of the rules we've outlined above for them.

Thanks for your help, and let me know if you notice anything else.

I explained the same thing to you in March directly above the message that I sent to @steitieh and @tha-she. My message states that they believe the missing conversation took place over the phone, and that is why it was the only one that we could not verify what happened with it. We explained to them both that all bids are binding and they must complete all deals moving forward. We also decided to not let them participate in each other's auctions anymore because there wasn't a computer log of what happened with one of their auctions.

@David Walker - You seem to have thought the message meant something else but I've explained to you multiple times what it actually means and so have others. Please take a moment to reread the original message above one more time. It's my hopes that we can resolve this misunderstanding so that we can move forward with investigating any new evidence.

We will continue to investigate any and all new reports.

.

You joined less than a month ago and you're already leaving?

Yes, going to take a break from domaining and sit on what I have for awhile. I'm buying too much lol (my portfolio jumped from 3 to 35, which isn't a lot to most of you, but it's more than I can remember half the time hahaha)

Anyway, again, my experiences with Rami have been nothing but positive.

How is stieth wife doing, it's been at least a year since the blogs all helped him get the word out with his plight. I hope she's better?

I checked the fund page that was created but didn't see an update.

Shill bidding should always be looked into if there is cause. Looking at bidding pattern/history that has been linked to in this thread it looks at best very suspicious, and at worst complete fraud. Leaving positive feedback for a transaction that never completed goes to show what type of character someone has. That person is interested in gaming the system. Also, bidding on tons of auctions of the same seller, and then not paying for the ones you win is about as obvious as you can get. And I loved the analogy someone wrote about bringing things up to the cash register knowing you have no money in your pocket, laughed at that. We're not talking thousands of dollars. If you bid a hundred or two and you can't pay then you're a complete moron (sorry) or you are actively shill bidding.

Reputation in this biz just ain,t as important as it used to be. :xf.frown:
Unfortunately, I smeared my reputation through the dirt by opening a few threads. But, if you don't call BS out when you see it, it just keeps rolling down the hill.
I bought total 2-3 domains from rami.. maybe total of $70. for the names I got, the prices seemed reasonable.
I'd go back and look to see if any of these mentioned members appeared in those auctions. If so, the problem is, you might've over paid for your domains. Even though you're satisfied with paying that amount, it might've been too much.

Taking a break already after assisting your friend and mentor @steitieh in his shill ring already, huh?

Edit: Link added to 2nd auction participated in. Circumstantial evidence that there's more than 3 people involved now.

true. I am like you all for justice and ensuring guilty are penalized. but justice is also about ensuring innocents are not penalized. so the job of judge is never easy.

that being said the mods of namepros have imo many tools beyond and above rest of us, so I can't really see how figuring this out in a definite way could be an impossible task. it may not even be hard to do at all.

I did transact with the person so like others I do not want to have impression something went wrong. but again, my dealings were around 70$ total. and couple of domains. so I am not in same group as those who may have bought domains for $300-500 etc, if any of this is true, of course.

that being said, if the mod wishes to investigate anything, here below is my purchase. I am always glad to help penalizing those who deserve it, as well as to ensure innocents are left alone. I am sure David here is striving for same things in the end.

I'll be blunt. Fuck you for even implying I'm a shill. I'll show, with Rami's permission, all of our freaking PM's of me WANTING to buy domains like pictured.net but it quickly fell out of my budget. Go screw yourself for even making the implication. I'm out.

Edit: Leave out all the VERIFIABLE purchases I made from him too! You're such a scientist!

Edit 2: I BOUGHT Authoring.net, which you linked, sir. #suchashill

Edit 3: Eric was even in on the PM where I bought Authoring.net from him, verifiable by staff.
