Does Moniker make you wait 60 days to transfer out a domain if its pushed?

i just had a domain pushed to me on moniker. I honestly don't like moniker, and like namecheap the most. Today namecheap is having the 3.99 transfer deal.

Anyways i know godaddy makes you wait 60days after account change to do so, but it makes you agree to that before you accept the domain.

Moniker didn't say anything to me, domain just showed up in my account.

I was reading something about it makes you wait 60 days if you have escrow protection?

Does anyone know about this?
thanks

I dont think you need to wait the 60days. The namecheap offer runs out soon so just try it and see

I just did, and it seems to be going through. Moniker approved the transfer out request and unlocked it, so we'll see what happens :D

I have iniated a transfer for 6 domains from Moniker to Namecheap and till now, no problems. So I guess that 60 days rule doesn't apply to Moniker.
It does apply to GoDaddy as I've been denied to transfer-out a domain yesterday :(

NOO! 60 more days with godaddy! I know how that is. I was finally able to transfer a domain from godaddy to namecheap a few days ago after waiting 60 days just to do so. Cant stand godaddy and their site is horrible to navigate.

i wish i had know this deal was going to be around though, ha.

I thought that was an ICANN regulation... but doesn't surprise me only godaddy does it.

I've read that you can't transfer a newly registered or transferred (from reg to another reg) domain, but i guess account pushing it is different since its the same registrar.

Godaddy just likes to torture.

there are ways around it. I had a contact over there who I used to email to remove the 60 day restriction on my domains. That was years ago though and cant remember who it was

I just transferred out a .com from Moniker that was very recently pushed. Took 7 days to transfer which was slightly more than usual.

All you need to do is ask GoDaddy to remove the 60 day lock and they will do so, unless it's been registered less than 60 days. That's the only time they will insist you have to wait 60 days. It's a pain to keep asking them every time, but it isn't true that you cannot transfer domains just because the Registrant has changed.

the godaddy lock thing is always annoying when you are looking to flip domains within a matter of days, luckily most buyers already have an account there.
