Hello. I used a dictionary to translate "money" and I found that there is a word "dibs" that used as money (in the past may be).
So I regged Cyber/Dibs

did you hear about dibs?

BTW: digidibs digitaldibs edibs all non available

When I hear "dibs" or even use the word myself it would be something like
"I have dibs on the front seat", or "I have dibs on that jacket".

never heard of it, or used it in the context of money.

The dictionary definition of dibs is in fact money, but I've never heard it used that way. In everyday conversation dibs is used to imply claiming or reserving something for yourself. "I have dibs on.."

I have never heard "dibs" used to refer to money. It is used in the way the other two posters have pointed out.

The others are right, too.

Dibs for money is slang - and apparently not widely used because you have England, Canada, and the US represented by the members of this thread.
