Does anyone use WebMoney?

I signed up to the site webMoney.com hoping it would be as easy to use as PayPal or MoneyBookers etc. - it certainly is not!

I really need to complete a transaction with someone who is in Russia, but they can't accept PayPal or some of the other payment methods I normally use. They can accept WebMoney - from I just can't work out how to use the damn thing.

I'm trying to fund the account, but it looks like they only accept bank-transfer. I have to say how much I want to add, then print off a form? then fax webMoney something.. then wait... just seems like a really long process....

oh.. plus it says I have to deposit minimum 10,000 WMZ !!! If I understand rightly, then WMZ is equivalent to USD - so they expect me to deposit $10,000!!!! no way!!! I must be reading wrong!

I only need to do a $100-$200 transaction in total!

Anyway, would be really grateful is someone could help me out.
Whats the best way to do a transaction with someone in Russia?
Can someone help me use WebMoney?

Maybe I can pay someone in PayPal and they pay WebMoney to the person I'm trying to pay??

WebMoney is a good payment system, however is not popular in US and other countries except USSR former. If you are looking to deal with Russia, then you are on the right way

if he can join here you can pay him via np$ which in turn he can sell using webmoney. or use np$ to buy/register domains here.

Until now I have never heard of or used WebMoney. But it seems to be a japanese payment system.

moneybookers.com says "no chargeback" something is shady about that and fact that people from certain countries will only use that...

is there any reason for someone like me to have a moneybookers.com account just in case - ive been debating it

I have a MoneyBookers account.

The only reason I got it was to receive a payment for a DN from a member.

Since then I do promote that I accept MoneyBookers for payment in my sales threads, and it seems that I get more bids that way.

Some people may have $500 in MoneyBookers and $0 in PP, that is why I am keeping it. I like it so-far, nothing special but no problems either.

Hi Submissionbay.com, Welcome to NP... I take it you use WebMoney? Can you tell me... do I have to fund the account with $10,000 ??? to get started?

Is there a simple way to just pay someone $200 using WebMoney without having to fund the account $10,000 - which I don't have spare lying around... unfortunately!

I would recommend you to use exchange systems to fund your WebMoney account.

Let's say you want to add $200. As first step you need to find exchange system, then, you will need to send them PayPal, so they can credit you WebMoney account. Such exchange systems works for the commission that could be around 9-20% (high... but no other way I believe).

Thanks for the links dude, really appreciate your help. I had a quick look at the 2nd link which looks a lot simpler than what I came across before.

Anyway, if it allows me to fund the account by $100-$200 then I will be using one of those links you sent me.
