it has potential of course , but has a LONG way to go to catch up with other cctlds like .de & .co.uk.

Yeah, I agree that it has a long way to go - but what potential!

Being a ccTLD is largely irrelevant to the potential value as it is after all the U.S., the economy that's driving the whole world's economy. I mean, .de is already more valuable than .biz or .info, and .de is a ccTLD, proving your initial argument wrong IMHO
