Do you wear glasses?

I've been experiencing some vision issues lately, definitely caused by looking in the computer display for too long... So I'll probably go to the eye doctor to see if I need to wear glasses or something.

I was wondering how many of you wear glasses? Lenses? Did they help you or worsen your vision even more?

On a more serious note, i stopped wearing my glasses years ago and i am 12 hours a day on the computer, haven't experienced any problems yet(knock on wood)

Sometimes it helps to just get a new monitor especially if you are still using one of the old CRT's.....

Good luck

Cheers

I got glasses two months ago for the first time, i would suggest if you need them get some quality transitions, like Oakley for example. Look for a two for one deal, incase you lose a pair or damage them. :gl:

I got glasses for the first time a couple months ago. I always figured my vision wasn't what it could be, but I didn't know it was as bad as it is. I can see things pretty well now, but I think I have to get my eyes re-examined because they could work better.

I don't mind them. I thought I'd hate them, but I don't really even notice them anymore.

I stay on pc for like 10-12 hour per day too and I think Its time for me to get my eyes checked. I ve started feeling kind of dryness in my eyes recently.

I got my (new) glasses a bit over a year ago.. before that I was straining to read and/or see at distances.

Have no-line bifocals and couldn't read all my free magazines without them ;)

I wear contact lenses since I'm near-sighted. I looooove contacts. I wear glasses when I'm not wearing my contacts :gl:

My vision seemed to get a bit worse since I had to depend on corrective lenses, but my eye doctor said that getting older might contribute to it more. It's really worth getting your vision fixed... Less headaches and you'll see things you didn't know were there before! :tu:

i am near sighted so i wear glasses if i go out of the house, when im at the computer, i usually remove them. last year my eye grade is about 300+ now it's lowered to 200 most probably too much time in front of the computer.

if you got headache staring at the computer, then you might need to check out your optometrist you might have astigmatism
if it comes with dizziness as well.
it's normal for eye to ache.

Nope, I don't wear glasses and I'm on the PC a lot. I'm guessing it's just a matter of time for me. I adjust the brightness of my screen though 'coz if I have it on too bright it definitely hurts my eyes.

I wear contacts, however they often start to get quite dry after having been on for more than 24 hours. Computer use has definitely affected my vision negatively -- sometimes I spend so much time on my computer looking at the screen that my eyes start to get blurry (also have bruises on my elbows from being in the same position for too long :red: ).

Gotta love domaining -- wouldn't trade it in for anything in the world! :hearts:

I read somewhere that a real, hardcore domainer wouldn't abandon domaining even if someone told him that he's gonna die tomorrow because of it's bad influence on his health.
