Eleven days ago, my wife and I bought our vaporizer pens.
Since?
Not a cigarette or cigar!
And no desire for one.
:
So my question is this:
Do you vape?
And why?

Firstly, Vaping is not smoking

Ecigs / Vaping is intended for current adult smokers , that wish to continue enjoying their nicotine habit at a reduced risk.

Vaping utilizes a Propylene Glycol or Vegetable Glycerin based liquid, mixed with small amounts of nicotine and food grade flavoring that then get vaporized in a small battery powered atomizer, Simulating the experience of smoking. The vapor created is inhaled and exhaled much like cigarette smoke hence the term “VAPING” as opposed to “SMOKING”

Been using my vaporizer now for about 16 months and have found them better than cigs, in the first place i found them a little weird but now there are so many other people in our town using them that you seem less of an idiot and the ones smoking and stinking are the ones who look stupid.
I do have the odd cig every now and then just to remind me exactly how disgusting they are!

I don't. I don't like the idea.

I keep it classic. Some raws as my papers with a filter and lay back.

I see a lot of people who want to quit smoking on military bases with vaporizers. Except, they end up telling me they buy higher and higher nicotine cartridges/fillers and vape more than they used to smoke. Sure it's healthier with the carcinogenic aspect, but some are paying 2 to 5 times more money on their vape habit which was intended on getting them to quit smoking cigarettes ($1.80 to $5 a pack here).

In the Corps, we were allowed breaks when we needed to smoke. The people who didn't smoke, had to work. I noticed this trend and it got me from smoking 2 Black & Mild's or Swisher Sweets a week after high school to 2 to 3 packs of Newport's a day by the end of my time in the service. As you're pushed so hard during exercise, the smoking regularly has no real effect besides potentially giving you cancer sooner, or at least that's what it felt like physically. B-)

When I got out and moved back to the States, a pack of Newport's for ~$9.10 as compared to $4.50 was enough for me to quit. D-:

I have the ability to quit cold turkey as I'm not physically depended on smoking, but psychologically dependent on it. :-/

If I were to get a vape, sure I would quit smoking a pack or two of Reds a day and save enough money to buy 1 extra domain name a day. Although, I think I would just sit at my computer and chief on that thing all day with the highest nicotine content, which would be counterproductive if I wanted to quit to save money. O_o

I do want to quit again to get back into daily half-marathon running shape again though and finally run the Naha Marathon (always said I'd do it over 6 years, but never did and end up watching the 20,000+ runners from my balcony pass by every December), but that would be my only motive to quit in which I could do the same style: cold turkey like I have two or three times which lasted ~2 years each. :D

Sheesh, this took forever to type. Cigarette break time.

Most people quit because they want a higher chance of living a longer life, saving money is considered a side benefit. Enjoy your cigarette.

I actually blog about vaping, and have to say that the ultimate setup (for me) is Innokin iTaste MVP2 battery ($50-60) and Aspire Nautilus tank ($30). Find local vendor for juice if possible and if you like their flavors. If not, juicedb.com is an awesome resource for finding good online vendors. The guy who coded that did a beautiful job, basically crowdsourced aggregate eliquid reviews.

All you'll need going forward is juice refills and replacement heads for the tank. Probably have to replace head every 2 weeks, can find them in 5 packs for about $20.

Unless you become a hobbyist (easy trap to fall into), you'll easily save money after the initial investment.

Vaporization of nicotine will go down in the history books as one of the greatest innovations in harm reduction ever.

Tomorrow a controversial expansion of my city's smoking ordinance goes into effect, which now bans e-cigs everywhere that smoking is banned (all bars/restaurants, and within 20 feet of business entrances and patios). This includes a requirement that all hotel rooms in the city are 100% smoke- (and now also vape-) free by the end of the year.

Doesn't affect me personally but it seems pretty silly regardless...

That's ridiculous. It seems to be more of a moral issue rather than a public safety concern. It is more hazardous to walk down a fume-filled parking lot than to have someone next to you in a park smoking a Vanilla e-cig, they just don't like the idea of people enjoying themselves in a similar way to something that's illegal.

I personally don't vape, but I'm not for the government dictating what people can do when it's not hurting anyone. Yes, it's a bad influence for kids, etc, but what's next down the line? Pretty soon women can't show cleavage unless it's on a beach? Can't eat a bag of potato chips while crossing the street? Can't add too much salt to your food?

It reminds me of a scene from the movie "Demolition Man" where they go outlawing Meat, cursing, etc

Personally I think using e-cigs is dumb.
Even though big tobacco is moving heavily into e-cigs.
And I do agree with many of the laws stating that e-cigs should be banned the same way regular cigarettes are.
Save with vaporizers really.
If you can't smoke in a place, then don't use e-cigs or vaping.

Over 3 months and my wife and I love the vaping!
Saving a ton of money over cigarettes.

May have the nicotine level dropped from where it is now to either a lower level or no nicotine at all.

While in colorado earlier, I did visit one brewery/bar that had some seriously big units on some tables for vaping the good stuff (marijuana).

The vape shop down the street has an awful lot of flavors!
I see lots of people go there and just sit and taste out all the flavors.
Easy way to vape at the max and waste an hour or more.

Did discover earlier that fruit flavors do tend to muck up the tanks more than the tobacco blends do.

I ended up finding a few shops that are getting closer to my house but the vape I like is 12 a bottle for a 30ml but its local vape so I do not mind plus 12 for 1-2 weeks is better then buying 45 worth of cigs.

I bought a few ecigs Blu, Green Smoke etc... and seemed to take too much work and I never put the thing down. Bought my first cheap vape pen from a gas station last week just to see if the concept made sense. Prefer it over the standard ecigs. Since I do kinda dig it ordered a more expensive unit, extra tank, custom tips, since it comes with 2 batteries so I can run 2 flavors at the same time. Doubt I'll get into the fruity stuff but ordered a few menthol samples to see which one I prefer. Will I quit smoking maybe/maybe not but if I can cut my cigarettes down to 25% and replace the other 75% with vaping that probably helps as well.

Glad to see more people taking up vaping.
Earlier this morning, wife was clearing out one drawer and found a package of ecig cartomizers from her old ecig from the first of this year.
Sort of useless now, since we are vaping and not using ecigs anymore.
Next liquids we buy will be of the lowest nicotine level or even no nicotine.
See how that works out for us.

Never tried. I'm not a smoker but I think vaporizers are an easy way to quit smoking.
I am working on a project for a drug to help people quitting smoking. It has nicotine in it, but just a low dose :)

So after a few weeks of checking out all sites that sell eliquids for our vape pens.
I narrowed it down to only one site!
And ordered a bottle this morning.
hey, 50ml bottle of my flavor for $9.99 plus first class shipping of $3.09?
What a deal since locally been paying $19 for a 30ml bottle!
Anyways, if you vape, check them out here:
https://www.valuevapor.com/
And they are in Texas!
And a few minutes ago?
Got an email from them.
Got my order shipped out with USPS tracking number.
Plus they added an extra bottle of another flavor (don't know what size)!
So hopefully will be here Wednesday.

Been thinking of switching over. Can not smoke in home. Grand babies live with me. Live in Indiana and man it is cold outside. Does cut down on my smoking. 10 degrees I will pass on a cigarette! Do you need to by a filter or something like that. The pens I know are rechargeable. Son gave me one but he stated I needed to get a new filter or something like that?
