No.

If it were a big time, big money keyword that uses a hyphen in it's common form then it would be OK, otherwise save yer money.

Leede I bought a few l-l-l.mobis but ONLY if they had a very developed website on one of the other extensions first. I don't think they will make a killing in the market but I hope their valuation will increase in the future. I am really a first timer at this game and I know very little besides what I have researched. I do agree that l-l-l is a cheaper way for a company to get something along the lines of a premium lll combo. I also plan on developing a few such as my w-a-y.mobi and a-s-l.mobi in order to increase value. Hope my opinion helps just a little.

I also bought a few L-L-L mobis, just in case (e-c-o and k-i-d). I have also seen a few companies develope sites with double hyphens in the name. I think if it's a good name or you have dev. plans then you should be alright :)

I don't like the hyphens at all for .mobi. JMHO.

depends what they are.
qwerty keyboads coming standard, dont see what difference it makes tbh. obviously rolls off the tongue better without.

however i wasn't gonna sit and wait til someone else nailed travel-agents.mobi, estate-agents.mobi etc :sold:

if they're good, they're good

i have to say also as cc.mobi aren't allowed and if they ever do they will cost an arm and a leg, i have also nailed a load of c-c.mobi
short and sweet and theres loads of companies on the net that say use r3 or e5 etc. (just used as examples), with a com
if they want a matching mobi they are gonna want the c-c.mobi to match

amazingly theres a few left. http://bluebecker.com/storage/L-NN-LMOBI.txt
i have enough.. burp

Arnie, I suppose you're right. It does depend on what it is. But, generally speaking I don't like 'em. But I've heard that SE rankings can be similar for say "travelagent" that they are for "travel-agent".

So, I guess it depends on if you're developing, or just hoping for resale. For resale buy and hold, I say no. There are plenty of better names you can buy on resale for cheap.

I wouldn't register a .mobi with a hyphen in it. If you are going to develop it, maybe it would make sense to if you can't find any better options.

I think it would be a tough sell if you are a reseller.

There are around 300 names listed on dnjournal.com's list of ytd sales. Only two of them have hyphens and they are both German names.

depends on the name

I dont know, it really depends on the name and if it makes sense. I have two right now (eco-friendly and b-1) but only because that is the proper spelling of eco-friendly and b-1 cant really be anything else but hyphenated.

I agree with the 'depends on the term theory'. I have some whereby the '-' is the correct spelling -

Bi-Curious.mobi
Pre-Approved.mobi
Pro-Choice.mobi
Self-Employed.mobi

And with bookmarking on mobile devices, I think less traffic will be lost to non '-' words, though some obviously will be.

A hyphen makes sense in two cases: (1) if the searched term includes a hyphen naturally, as in hawkeye's example above or (2) if the traffic is expected from searching for the term with a space in between, as in "real estate" since search engines view a space and a hyphen the same way. That said, it is unlikely that a hyphenated name will pull any type-in traffic. I have a few hyphenated .mobi names but don't expect them to sell for a high price unless they are developed and contain many backlinks.

I think hyphen in dot mobi is super speculative , most people associate hyphens with with SEO. So if you are a SEO guru go for it , but as far as resale i think its not worth the time.

I agree, hyphens are speculative. I figured what the heck, might as well grab a handful just in case. The only names I really think have a good shot at being worth anything are L-L or N-N because 2 characters are not permitted.

I like the hyphen if its a strong name. Its one of 2 possible names and a very good option IMO. I have 69 domains with a hyphen in .mobi and .com.

I would rather have money-market than moneymarket1 or 1moneymarket or any other variation... besides moneymarket that is lol
