Now with the internet being as popular as it is, do you still make time to read books (not e-books:hehe:)? If so, what was the last book you read? I can't remember reading an entire novel after I turned 16 so it really has been quite a while! I do love books though, I have this compulsion to buy great & useful books. I especially like dictionaries and non-fiction.

I'm always reading a book - though these days it takes longer to finish, only have time to read just before going to sleep....but I can't sleep unless I read a little bit... Right now I'm in the middle of Ian M. Banks' The Algebraist. Last one I finished was Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon. That was a wild ride!

I dream of retiring early & retreating to a tropical beach house and reading thousands of books...

Hey, one has to dream, right?

I am not a big reader. Most books I have are computer reference books. The only other types of books I have are non fiction.

The only non reference book I am reading at the moment is the semi autobiography of John Peel called "Margrave Of The Marshes". I say semi autobiography because he actually died before it was finished and his wife and kids finished the book and released it.

Anyone who does not know who John Peel is and is interested in music should do a little research. John was a very inspirational man who would give any band a chance whatever the style of music they played. He used to have a program called "The Peel Sessions" it is credited with propelling bands as diverse as Napalm Death and Bolt Thrower to The Undertones.

I read whenever I get the chance, but nowadays I'm too busy with work, etc etc.

I'll read anything by Stephen King ;) The last book I read was.. iirc, "The Green Mile" - I love that book, read it 4 times ;) Seen the movie several times as well.

I still would rather read on good old fashioned paper than on a computer screen. It strains my eyes.

I love reading books. Love love love it.

It is my plan to retire with a cozy bed and lots of books that I can read.

I have read around 5,000 books till today. From 21 to 24 I was doing novel a day. :D

My favorites are: Agatha Christie, James Hadley Chase, Robert Ludlum, Alistair Mclean (Where Eagles Dare - I loved this one when I read it first time), Ross McDonald, Sidney sheldon for his unimaginable surprises. All this authors I have already finished up. Maybe I will read them again or find other books in our local library.

Classics that we used to read in past were like William Shakespeare, Mark twain [Tom sawyer reminds me of my childhood days when I didn't wanted to read it but teachers made me read it], Charles Dickens [David Copperfield] , around the world in 80 days, robinhood and 20000 Leagues Under the Sea I got a whole set of classics one day :D Sir arthur conan doyle [Hound of the Baskervilles] :)
