Do "free laptop when make purchase of..." actually work?

if you buy 2 cell phone signal boosters for $40 you will recieve a free gift (you select) it can be a xbox,ps2,laptop,cell phone, ipod, or other stuf like that.
does anyone know if they actually give you the free item or is it just a scam?

well you would probaly have to sign up for offers, and have friends sign up to before you can get your 'free' gift.

I don't know if that particular one is a outright scam or not, but they explain on the site how it works. It's basically a conga line or pyramid scheme, where for every 5-6 sales they make a free gift is sent to a previous customer. The actual product you can buy on eBay for $.50, so it seems most of the money is going to buy the free gifts.
