I was recently horrified by the fact that Google indexes NP marketplace forums and does it so fast, that even if the deal was closed quickly, it still may leave traces in the Google search results, which are going to be present there for a long time.
Obviously most buyers do not want such records of their purchases.
I created this little online tool to help sellers and buyers avoid that.
What does it do? DNMask replaces English letters with matching Unicode characters (Cyrillic letters) which look identically in most online fonts. After such change, the posted name is going to look the same but won't match the relevant search query.
The tool is not perfect, since not all of the characters have lookalike equivalents, still most of the names probably contain at least one replaceable character, and thus can be protected.
How to use it? Type or paste your domain name or a list of domain names into the field and click the button to copy results to clipboard. Replaced characters will be highlighted red. Don't forget to add a warning to your post, because some people might try to copy-paste names to do checks, and that's not going to work after characters' substitution.
Who is this tool for? For everyone who sells their names on NP. It can be a friendly and helpful gesture towards your buyers. Also, anywhere else where you'd like to mention the name but prefer to reduce its searchability.
It only prevents indexing, so obviously, buyers are still going to need to edit their own messages after the deal and ask sellers to edit their listings.
I hope some people find this helpful. Link:
