Even though Microsoft is calling its new head gear "hololens" this is not why people have holo domains, the trend was up and running years ago before Microsoft jumped on the wagon as a shorter version for Holographics, Holograms and Holography, but they have adopted the term and are in the process of bringing it to the masses.

Nobody knows where this is going and how big the term holo will become, however who thought how big cloud, virtual reality, wallet, robot, drones etc etc......would be years ago? If they did I am sure they would have rounded all the .com's up way before the tech arrived!

Like everything alcy, follow the news and predict what you think will happen and you might come out smiling, I think a lot of sales have been done behind closed doors by domainers trying to lock down a Holo+Keyword.com

Good luck if you decide to buy and as always I would advise to venture into the after market for the solid one's, as pointed out in my previous post ( none of them are mine btw )

I know the general drill. it's same for any niche of domaining. be it vr or holo or even plain simple keyword.com back in 1993. it's all about being at right time in right place. then a train goes by and you either jump and take part or watch it go by. I guess it's always same old story.

I agree. a lot of stuff goes on behind closed doors. nonetheless, I just tried to make this clear distinction that despite closed door sales, for both vr and holo, there is still 200 vr documented sales and something near zero for holo. it is a curious and considerable difference... that probably means something none of us will really ever know. well.. maybe one day..

Well explained. Also i recommend highly if someone into Holo because of hololens they should also get some AR if holo doesnt take over complete AR keyword it will be bad for those who dont get any AR.

thats a lot of choices.. enough to confuse even best investors

luckily there aren't all that many keywords worth having for each domain combo

so I guess it works out not so bad in the end.

That's the beauty of domaining I guess, any company can want any domain at any time

Sadly, less than it is worth

I continue to reduce my investment and energy in domain names as I put almost all of my effort into product development and IP - -so I am not a buyer at this point. I won't go into details in this thread because it would take the thread off topic. However, back to Holotech -- if you own it, congrats -- really good domain. In terms of valuation, I would say four to five figures is value.
