I have recently read that the drone industry is trying to change the word "drone" to something different.

The word "drone" has a very bad rep. for obvious reasons.

What do you think will happen with the word "drone" and drone domain names?

Commercial drone use growing faster than expected

After an explosive increase in commercial drone registrations in 2018, the US Federal Aviation Administration has revised its predictions for the sector and now expects it to triple in size by the year 2023, according to NextGov.

According to NextGov, the FAA was caught off guard when commercial drone operators registered over 175,000 drones in 2018, showing it “dramatically underestimated” how popular the technology would be.

And:

... Last year, the administration predicted there would be roughly 452,000 commercial drones in use by 2022, but now it expects the industry to hit that size around the beginning of next year. Based on the latest data, FAA predicts the commercial drone market will triple over the next five years, hitting 835,000 aircraft by 2023.

I sold them DroneBusiness.com
Nice people to deal with.

I am surprised they are now leasing these domains, it appeared they were developing a lot of them not too long ago.
Not all of them are $5k a month, some are $500, $1000 and $2500 a month.

I have a really good training drone domain, in dot come I own Drone Lessons
