I have recently read that the drone industry is trying to change the word "drone" to something different.

The word "drone" has a very bad rep. for obvious reasons.

What do you think will happen with the word "drone" and drone domain names?

well, just a few hours ago I hand regged Mini Camera Drones / com , which is not bad for a handreg and it also has a couple of backlinks

someone dropped it too early if you ask me

It's never too late. Plenty of good names available after market and for good prices (because they wont be that cheap in the coming years if things continue as they are).

Yeah, they require your domains to be registered at the very least, 6 months..

Those are other domainers looking for free Drone domains and sometimes they visit the already registered ones
This only shows that your domain is at least on other people's lists.

I should have let terrorist/drone/com expire, but I didn't. This is a perfect example of wishful thinking on my part. I didn't consider who might buy it: No one.
