discuss Discuss and Showcase Drone Domain Names

SpaceshipSpaceship
Watch
I have recently read that the drone industry is trying to change the word "drone" to something different.

The word "drone" has a very bad rep. for obvious reasons.

What do you think will happen with the word "drone" and drone domain names?

Feel free to showcase your drone domain names on this thread.

Before judging whether something can or can't be done, or it will or won't happen, it's sometimes can serve one well to step back and see if solutions can be designed that might address problems well enough, and then judge. Eg. Adding to rokoroko's jammer idea, another thought might be that delivery drones could be signed onto something like a gov't grid that takes them over when they're making a delivery, controlling what the drones are doing, where they're going(?)

&/or could something like the proposed Elon Musk/Google satellite network offer something like that? &/or .....?
Exactly, I am not such a fool to think it will be 100 percent free of any limits , as the driving cars is not too, but it will not mean this industry would die just because of higher sensitivity of privacy. It will be just more controlled in that way.

Big difference between a vehicle on the ground being driven in well marked lanes.
And drones in the sky that can be all over the place.
Look at the airline industry right now.,
But drone delivery of anything?
Like Keith said, too many problems there to list.
Too many domains being regged that will never sell.

Big difference between a vehicle on the ground being driven in well marked lanes.
And drones in the sky that can be all over the place. - never said it would not be controlled as for individuals as for commercial sphere - there will be substantial need of operators
Look at the airline industry right now., in the future there will be more than drone coexisting in the sky, it is as you would said in the era of zeppelin there is no space for anything else then airships
How many close calls they have. well there will be a nasty crashes for sure to be developed the systems for co-existence.
But drone delivery of anything? delivery of everything
Like Keith said, too many problems there to list. - will be solved
And this trend like so many? this is a living trend in comparison to many theoretical trends on paper or prototype stage only.
Too many domains being regged that will never sell - agree - 98 percent , but drones are here and stays here

Keith and dawg...

A persons legal "expectation of privacy" in public access areas, or along commercial and transportation corridors, and in anyplace except for the penumbra of a persons established private space (see Cordozo) is extremely low and well settled .. it's almost zilch, nada, zip, zero.

Besides ... Drones need not be camera enabled .... Geo coordinates can be inputed, and Drones are being fitted with sensors for detection and avoid capabilities. **** and there goes your whole phony argument.

Once again you distort the truth ... The current Privacy debate has to do with Privacy of web stored digital information, and Communications, NOT from cameras in public areas; of which thousands and thousands of police departments (even in Helicopters), municipalities, and countries currently utilize and have installed.

You and your buddy should stick to "bacon" and "pot" themed domains; you either don't understand this space, or, as I believe, you're intentionally deceptive to readers inorder to steal their names from them for pennies on the dollar.

Yeah because the majority of drone deliveries will be b2b? That's silly to think. This is a residential play. That's why Amazon and pizza joints are trying to make it work!

As for cameras...to think amazon will send out fleets without recording each move is again, silly.

Your thinking is flawed to put it mildly.

Those big jumbo jets almost colliding in the sky, do believe they have radar, all kinds of sensors, people on the ground, and more.
Yet they seem to get too close for comfort.
Unless they have air traffic controllers just for drones?
All the sensors in the world will not stop them from crashing into each other, into buildings, and into the ground.

Agree with Keith.

I read a couple of articles suggesting that maybe the U.S. postal service could be involved in drone delivery in some ways. As well as deliveries maybe being "more controlled" that way, maybe it could help turn around the $ they've been losing.

I didn't check further into it so don't know how accurate it is, but an article I read the other day was saying that a # of air accidents were being attributed to pilot error - eg. auto pilot kicks out because of turbulence and pilots make wrong flight decisions that bring the plane down. Whether or not the autopilot might have made the right decisions in such instances......
Fatigued pilots was another reason given for things like many crashes and near misses. Whether autopilots would have done a better job overall during those times...... Articles have been saying that autopilot is a safer bet in such instances. That should get better with time.

Guys... think of privacy talks around Cloud earlier than today... then look around you... even every government is having some cloud workloads... there are regulations that are always put/imposed, but adoption is a must as the benefits usually outweigh the cons...

Hang on to your drone domains... believe in it!!!

I was in the same position when I started selling cloud computing for my company... everyone resisted me earlier, then less resistance... then now Im chased by earlier resisters to go and present one more time!!
The world's economy is getting worse, and anything that saves time and hence money, will be sooner or later adopted!! PERIOD
