The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
That's right. Was surprised to see that it was available for registration last Dec. Reg it for only $4.13
Please where did you register .co extension for $4.13?

I just had a small sale

I guess I was too fast - the sale funds were listed in my Namecheap but under 5 day hold. I just learned that the sale (of enviro (pw)) fell through for some reason, so the domain name is in fact not sold. I have had about 30 sales on Namecheap Marketplace, and this is the first time that has happened.

@NamePros Is it possible to delete the linked thread (as well as this one) since the sale did in fact not complete. Not sure the policy re this. Thank you, and I will wait longer next time!

Bob

852116 dot com - $195 (GoDaddy BIN)
purchased on GoDaddy auctions a couple months ago for $29
Did you buy it because of the specific number combo or because it was a 6N with no "0" or "4".
Thanks.

I bought it because it was a 6N.com with no 4 (I don't even care about 0s because they still sell) and because I think 6N domains will increase in value this year (Chinese investors fleeing the stock market see such .coms as a store of value asset class).

Really should always counter..
Why, so I can keep losing sales at UD? lol....

With certain names that I'm not renewing and don't receive offers more than 1 or 2 times I'm taking the profit not waiting 10 years. I have a smaller portfolio and am not worried about countering on some names and not others. Maybe if I joined 10 days ago I'd see your reasoning to tell me that but I'll live and be fine without the advice :)

Really should always counter..

I agree 99.9% of the time I counter even it is 100 more i try and counter. I think your going to get non payers either way I am ceo of the receiving non payers club. I get them on ud like it's my job have two sales now where is payment? Its trending. Ud doesnt care they wont do anything to solve the issue.

Congratulations on the sale,
what number of .net extension domains do you have?

I have 6 now for sale with a total portfolio of just under 2,900 names. I have 1 that is forwarded to a developed site I have. I am not a fan of the extension but have picked up a few 4 letter and real world product names.

I'm in the uk And initially wasn't a fan
of. uk Domains but when you think Google only wants to know what the product is on a website and where it is etc

. co.uk

Is a uk extension but not an area

But

. uk

Is an area or group of countries

So for organic seo

.uk

Is much better

And I now mostly only buy

.uk

Domains only and don't bother buying
. Co.uk

Domains anymore

I own thousands of co.uk and .uk we have sold far more co.uk then .uk no one wants .uk co.uk will be stronger still and .uk will take a long time to take over which i doubt it ever will the extension should of never been allowed to launch as the way i see it they have messed it up with mix up between two owners one on a co.uk and one on a .uk :xf.rolleyes:

On an average I purchase 100 new domains per week.

Yes I have a team for the same.

So you don't have much of a ROI overall if I'm not mistaken?

He has a good sell rate, with ~5 employees.
Now, let's do some basic mathematics to estimate his monthly earnings:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
100 domains/week = 400/month = 400*$7 = $2800/month
5 employees/mo = 5*$250 = $1250/month
total cost = $4050/month
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
About 7-8 sales per week @ $300 average, so
revenue = 7*$300*4 = $8400/month
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, Profit = $8400-$4050 = $4350/month
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
$4350/month, even in USA, is a very good income.
@rohitgoyal lives in India where $4350/mo is very very good and where senior VPs and junior C-Level Executives get paid about that much.

I am not sure what's the definition of good roi but I am happy with the roi I am generating...

Thanks for the calculations. The main thing is that I didn't know how much he paid his employees. You seem to know this informatiom tho.
