So, which film director do you think made really lousy films and then came back to make great movies?

Example:

Sam Raimi.
Bad movie: The evil dead.
Good movie: Spiderman.

damn, to be honest, i never really thought about directors as part of the movie or so :p

LOL. Director's are a core part in film production (in my opinion) without them all would be chaos.

i guess i just devalue them :p

Directors are very important but it's not our fault if we can't really name them all, haha...I only remember the great directors, those who never really made anything we can consider "a bad movie".

p.s. I didn't even enjoy watching Spiderman. :imho:

I'm a big Sam Raimi fan. Calling Spiderman a good movie and then Evil Dead a bad movie?

You can't be serious. Evil Dead is one of the greatest horror movies of all time and put Sam Raimi on the MAP. Did you know that Bruce Campbell (the star of Evil Dead) makes a cameo in the Spiderman films?

I wouldn't classify the Evil Dead as a horror film. More as a Comedy. Regardless, I absolutely hate Bruce Campbell and that movie was so dreadful. lol. But as I stated it's about personal opinion more then what is universally regarded as "what is"
