I am curious about this. There are offers here from members for reseller hosting.

What is the difference between that & normal hosts?

A non-reseller gives you only one direct cPanel control panel, with or without the ability to host 1 or more domains using (add-on domains).

A reseller with WHM control panel gives you the above plus the ability to create and control multiple cPanel accounts.

With a reseller you can create normal control panels. A reseller is good if you control a large number of websites, ten or more is a good number for a reseller or if you wish to provide any of the users with a control panel.

I have a reseller who offers me less than the normal host. So should I proceed with the reseller host?

Are you happy with your current host?
Do you have enough disk space/transfer?

If the answer is yes to the above you should stay put, if you do not need a reseller account you can go for a normal account.

A reseller account would generally cost more than a normal account due to its ability to resell webspace to others. If your current host is reliable and has little or no downtime, then you should go ahead and stay with them.

Many (most) really great hosts eventually get too busy and have serious problems. the best advice is to invest in more than one (cheap to medium priced) and monitor your sites for uptime, speed, etc.

Reseller: The two best I've ever had are both re-sellers, used for my personal sites. You also get access to extra info about the server conditions :)

'Normal' Shared: Yuck, often not good.

Free: Experiments with free hosts waste time, but you occasionally find a good thing which lasts a while. Some of the ad-supported ones are actually very stable.

Good luck.

reseller hosting is simply priveleged to resale webspace and bandwidth while normal doesn't allow you that privelege. you may or may not enjoy both the same specs of the webhosting account. hth
