Did Afternic really sell this domain?

You can find that jdhq.com sold for $1600 in 06/27/2006 at afternic.com.
But jdhq.com website show this:
This domain name expired on 07/20/06 and is pending renewal or deletion.

why??????

Maybe the DN is in mid-transfer currently. And the last registrar still shows that it needs renewal although it has been paid for w/ the new registrar.

Just a guess.
