scandiman said:Thanks Ox, I was leaning towards a pro sports draft angle but your ideas are interesting. I'm curious where you are located because this word may have different implications in different parts of the world.

draft as in meaning a player was drafted in the first round? That could work.
Very popular here in the US, is the term draft beer.(not from a bottle) from a keg.

I really like this idea! Could work. Hardest part is getting all the bar names together and putting them into a database. I like it.nrmillions said:Make it into a site where you type you zipcode and it shows you all the good bars near you with their drink specials or something.

You are right about the sports angle, NHL, NBA, NFL, fantasy drafts, etc.
Any thoughts on a military angle? I'm not seeing the money in it though. If the US ever reinstates a military draft then it would be a huge search term in that regard.

That is a possibility, how would you suggest monetizing that?arnie said:what about the military angle?

I've heard of fantasy sports and mock drafts. Do people pay to participate in this stuff? Why do they do it? Any sports junkies out there who know about this stuff who would care to share your thoughts on how it works and what would be compelling features for mobile use?buckshotdots said:When I first read it I thought of beer, then sports (made me want to grab a beer and flip on the hockey game) but what is huge is those fantasy hockey/footbal pools. I listen to sirius nfl radio and they are always talking about next years draft for their fantasy picks. You could set up a fantasy league and also have a part that is dedicated to the real drafts- real time, get texted as the draft is going on maybe?

Yes, many people pay for participating in fantasy sports if there is a prize involved.scandiman said:I've heard of fantasy sports and mock drafts. Do people pay to participate in this stuff?
