Develope for the RIGHT reason... take two.

I really wasn't happy with the original design of www.gopc.com catering to those that would look at it only for PPC revenues. In the end, I'm really holding out for an End-User sale, someone buying the name for branding purposes.

I finally stopped kidding myself. It really didn't matter what I did with the site if I sold the site to someone that would in turn build a brand around the name or vica versa).

So I redesigned the site to showcase the mobile PC market in a very simple, overview kind of way. I used Adsense to add content to the site in context with the pages and I think I blended them well. I also highlighted some interesting products to ad additional content to the page.

All in all, I'm very happy with the presentation (except the annoying "ads by gooooooogle" text that you can't shake).... I just hope an end-user is too.

Constructive critisism and thoughts are welcome.

In the end, if you design it for what you WANT from it, then I think you loose focus and the site (and its visitors) will suffer. On the other hand, if you design it for a purpose, in context, with real content... it will fair much better.

My thoughts anyway, for what they are worth.

I really like this site except for the GoPC font, I think that lets it down.

Hmmm.... interesting. I struggled with that myself. In the end, it was the font I felt most comfortable with.

What font do you think would be better?

I'll play with a few today.
