Hello, I develop a Spanish domain name three yrs ago. My DN is a very generic domain name. My site target Spanish speakers in the US. I recently contact 5 big corporations to advertise on my site, only 3 corporations email me back.

Two corporations told me they're not interested in advertising with us,maybe next yr.They don't have Spanish speakers in their customer service office, and they do not have any Spanish application for their website.

They just don't have the resources yet, maybe two or three yrs from now. One corp told me last week,"they don't have the resources to advertise to Spanish speakers in the US." I'm so frustrated because I can't find anybody to advertise on my site. Adsense ads are not relevant to my website. Now, I'm ready to sell the website. My question is, should I ask the corporation if they're interested in acquiring the DN. How should a go about asking them? Keep in my these are very big coporations.

Thanks.

If you can hold on to it hold on to it. Spanish population in US is one of the fastest growing segments and power buyers of society. Google ads is working on ads that can penetrate the relevancy of it in the Spanish speaking countries and including Spanish speaking US. This is all hush hush info that my friends in the industry say. The amount of Spanish speaking people in the world is 4.35 percent of the entire population of earth meaning out of 7 billion almost 600 000 000 people speak Spanish. I don't speak it sometimes I wish I did but based on your generic domain it can have the same meaning or variation of the same meaning in Portuguese and Italian which then you can add another 400 000 000 to that population making it a billion.

Out of all these Spanish speaking countries average only 20 to 37 percent are online. Less have access to broadband. Countries like Peru, Colombia and Brazil are revamping their telecom infrastructure. The great sales of Spanish domains are still to come. If I were you and if you speak Spanish I 'd concentrate on buying more spanish domains or certain cctld of spanish speaking countries. Buy .coms SPECIALLY buy the ones that have the same meaning across different languages. The best example of this would be Tinta. Type tinta wiktionary in google see how many languages it translates into.

Only Spanish domain name, not Portuguese. Really, I hope adsense get it together really soon. I can hold on to it,but I probably can sell the DN. This domain name have a lot of potential and growth. Companies just need spanish content, application in spanish, and spanish speaking coworkers. When will they get it!!!???

Use English as many (not all) Spanish speakers also speak good enough English. I recall with some Spanish sites getting 1 penny Adsense clicks...
