.tv Dev question

for those who develop- are any developing to sell? or to keep and use?
if you created websites for your tvs and then look to sell- do they sell faster, and for more?

Personally i am developing to keep & eventually hire somebody to run the sites once they are established (after working on them for at least 6 months myself)
Ideally i would like to do simple development on all my .tv's in order for them to start getting better traffic fron the search engines but time is the major issue. I would imagine developing domains would make it much easier to sell them as it helps establish the potential of the domain and the increased traffic you will gain from development can only help in the longrun. :imho:

so basically- just a site would not do much- need to spend the time to build traffic, yes?
i am just wondering if it is more attractive to have basic sites up. i dont want to run or work on a bunch- i am still working on a project i will be running full time-

but to pop up some small basic site can be done in a day or two- but if i have no time to build traffic, would it make it look worse?

I never got too much interest in grooves and mixing but then I developed these and put music videos on. Since then, I've had loads of offers but I'm hanging on to them.

Conversely, and rather surprisingly, I developed chilled a while ago and have had very little interest. Point is then, a developed name is strong if the extension suits the content - becomes an attractive package then!

I dont think any development you do can hurt the chances of you selling the domain and depending on the quality of development then you could really make it more attractive & boost longterm traffic.
Even throwing up a basis site with a couple of pages & some google adsense could be a good idea to increase traffic (dont expect miracles though) The more quality, updated content then the higher chance of gaining some hits though this should ideally be combined with gaining some backlinks, submitting to search engines & some basic SEO work.

Something along the line that Reality Hurts done with his domains is great in my opinions as it allows buyers to imagine the potential much easier and surely helped gain traffic to domains that may of got very little traffic otherwise.

I call my only developed .tv a 'Channel' as i felt it made it much easier to brand and make a feature of the .tv domain. I like the idea of .tv's being Channels, shows them as more than traditional websites & keeps it unique. :imho:

bulldog you dont seem to upbeat of late.
it is hard to get motivated developing sites for me just now i need to see thing happening but thats just me.i have just had a offer on sedo for my name £45
gives me little incentive just annoys me...
i have put my mobile number on reg.tv of my names and email i have had to 3 text with offers for my names but no emails interesting fact may help some one
i must add they were low offers

To elaborate...I set up plain sites and comprehensive sites, it just depends. I have my own server, so I like to do my own parked sites.
