I'm looking for a talented designer/programmer to partner up with on a partially established site. What's already in place is a strong brand name, written content, an established design/look, and, far more importantly, a unique concept that drew a lot of attention. The site got coverage in Gawker, Gothamist, Fleshbot, Shecky's, etc., and prominent television producers inquired about basing a reality show on the service. There was no shortage of traffic, but the service itself was launched in truly half-assed fashion: I had a f/t job and couldn't devote any time to it. In the end, I put it on the shelf where it's been waiting for relaunch. In the meantime, I've written a new plan that quadruples the number of potential revenue streams by adding much more functionality. What the site needs at this point is the usual web 2.0 suspects as well as webcam integration of some sort. That's where you come in.

I'm looking for a real partner who's got the technical chops, a great eye for design, and knows what's going on out there. Let's talk. And by parter, I mean equity/ownership.

Dood? If you want a quality coder, don't offer equity. The only way equity will get you a good coder is if you know the coder personally.

Also, not to be overly jerkish, but when you start talking about technical chops and eye for design in the same sentence, it flags you as not serious. A serious person would be honest about workload and split those duties up.

I'd be inclined to agree with you if:

a. there wasn't a fully articulated service ready to go
b. there weren't existing files and a design to work from
c. there weren't reality television show producers inquiring about basing a show on the service
d. there weren't major websites writing regularly to ask about when the relaunch is planned
e. there wasn't a full business plan
f. there weren't a number of developers who've expressed interest or curiosity in a discussion.

If you bothered to Google, you'd see that vaporware it's not. Now please go police something else. The world needs your diligence.
