I have several directories, and I have always
been stumped with these type of submissions.

Deeplinks require a reciprocal. Regular links don't.

What is considered a Regular Link?
just like this domainname.com
or
What do you do in this instance:
(example only)

wendy.domainname.com
domainname.com/wendy

Are both of these considered a deeplink?
Or a Deeplink and a Subdomain, and are
they considered the same when submitted
to a directory that has Deeplink requirements.

Do you accept these both ways without a recip?

Do you accept tham at all?

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks!

if main domain has strong backlinks then go with anything but if its less strong go with domainname.com/wendy so that link juice will pass faster imo

the issue is both of them are based on one domain, for example my directory is using phpld and it can filter out by domain for unique submissions and nowadays most directories if not all will only accept tld not pages as pages can be abused to redirect to the same domain btw.

practical way for a submitter and i know will be appreciated by directory owner like me is to submit a tld then those links that you want emphasize is just link to it direct from the front page / homepage.

and we could live in happy world both for (1) directory owners (2) site submitters i for one will just delete sites with pages btw and seeing the page as crap page, and you decided to link to it directly instead of your index then something tells me your index or homepage is crappier.

tld is the answer don't settle for anything less like sub/folder/pages.

if you want to accommodate then at least ask for a payment so it's good for feature links.

Thanks for the responses guys.

weblord you kinda have the same thought process as I did,
with just the URL and no /page
I found it harder to manage for verification, I hated clicking
those links, who knows what you were gonna get.

I also won't accept 2 different URL's with the exact same
descriptions, I don't know if that's common practice amoungst
Directory webmasters, it's a personal thing! :o
It's not that hard to be a little creative, and when I search directories,
I personally hate seeing a page of duplicate descriptions! Looks cheezzy
and there's really no point of it :imho:

it's a way to get away from google's penalty steer clear of duplicate content while you can, usually they happen at one submission sometimes at different submission, and it takes time to approve links, you read it every time.

steer clear of non-english sites as well you don't know what it said hard for seo.
