Deceptive Domains on Ebay

There are plenty of deceptive domain auctions on ebay. Here's a joker with a "poker.com" auction:

Same person also has "bet.com", "target.com", and (gutsy!) "ebay.com" knockoffs!

Well I would say that pokér.com is worth some money and séx.com also.
There is money to be made in IDN cause these letters most keyboards can make and the domain will work for many ppl.

it is just hard to sell IDN names at the moment since IE doesn't support it.

Well since mozilla and all other smaller browsers allready support it I guess IE will have that plugin like standard in the next version.

You could try the [email protected] address as it would be worth a shot. Don't get your hopes up on them doing anything though. I've moved past contacting them and now I contact the company directly if there's a listing involving that company. If the large corporations start complaining to eBay because there's domains that are exploiting their company and brand name then hopefully eBay will actually do something.

Well the funny thing is, Ebay is the company getting trademark enfringed... :lol:

They relisted Pok(Insert IDN Letter, I don't even know how and I'm in IT. What does that say about your "regular users"!)r.con

They usually use deceptive means to sell the IDN's (Not ALL Folks) but a good majority -

The domain contain Non-English Letters and Characters within them :

Eg :
pokér.com instead of poker.com (Just an example - Not saying anything was deceptive about this particular domain)

The deceptive part comes in when they do not mention at all the difference or try to hide it in fine Print ~
