Hate to be a party pooper, but I am pretty confident Valutakurser is not the German word or expression for exchange rates. In German exchange rates translates to:
  • Wechselkurse
  • Umrechnungkurse
  • Devisenkurse
  • Währungskurse
Think you might have mistakenly mixed it up with Danish or Swedish.

Yep, you are not incorrect... it is German but as for as I know it is more of a 'old' germanic word that happens to also have Swedish and Italian roots. :)

its always better to ask somebody who has genuine knowledge ;)

Valutakurser.de

if then it should be

Valutakurse.de

Valutakurse.de

lol...........seems I got lost in translation :)

It appears to be Swedish

That's why
valutakurser.se sold for $8,255 on 2012-11-21 at Sedo

Seems as though keyword "virtual" only works for the .de market if the domain starts with it.

No sales of "virtual" where "virtual" is at the end in .de. why is that?

Cultural? Proper German grammar?

It´s in almost any case of usage in the beginning!
Because the term "virtual" is the describing part of the second term.

Virtual Reality Glasses
virtual dating
virtual machines

the other way round it would not make much sense.
In sentences or phrases of course it would be possible to have it in the end.

Hope that helps.

Edit:
Btw, i guess that in English language it´s actually pretty much the same situation?

https://namebio.com/?s=QNxgTMzITO :)

Thats just the stats from $40k - $1 million sales..

LOADS more listed on namebio below $40k

I've seen those numbers. but I fear they are "old data" if you do by DATE it's a different "Story" and it kinda worries me. or should it? maybe those sales were for a time when such things could be possible. things are different now isn't it? or not?

opinions wanted.

Hmm here are the results of a date search:
(still looks impressive for English .de domains - especially nice one: Webhosting.de - $79 218 sold this month) :)

The big thing to consider with german domains is that you want to try to get the hyphen version of the domain as well. Germans are not shy about using hyphens and even some of the bigger name websites will use them. Not sure why exactly the market is so different but it might just have something to do with them being easier to read with a hyphen considering how long the words are lol

Haha glad to see that I am not the only one pushing the german vr market :P It will definitely be a lot of holding on (at least probably) but I just recently went back to germany and they have VR demos in every tech store now.

I own quite a few like smartphoneVR.de vr-smartphone-brille.de (vr glasses) VIRTUELLE-REALITÄT.ORG (virtual reality) and one of my favorites virtuelle.info (virtual.info)

odd discovery. how come the word Germany with .de domains not many sales in history? I would think Germany would be a big money keyword for .de domains. as of right now I can only find 2 historical sales.

am I reading that correctly or is there some special way to find out better accurate info?

also which is more "proper german" speaking with domains? to put Germany as a prefix or suffix?

The reason for that is most likely because in german Deutschland = Germany. Look for Deutschland sales and yyou should find more
