database help- will pay up too 200NP$

Hi There
I really need some help
If this get fixed i will donate 100 NP$ to the person who helped me
okay the problem is that I had a good working website {forums} running at freeresellers.com server..but then they decided to close the free offers
so i created a full site backup and 1 ipb backup and now i got new hosting from Nomis :)
Now the probelm is that when i go to BACKUP section in cpanel and then UPLOAD the backup database it doesnt restore it properly, it creates an empty database and thats it
I tried it with IE n Firefox, it didnt work
I tried going to the PHPMYADMIN and uploading from there but it says 300 sec limit timed out

Is there a way to solve it?
I uploaded the database through ftp, is there a way to turn that file into a working database? that will actually work?
Please help me out over here
Thanks

I'm not positive on exactly how it works, but I read somewhere else that if you export to a delimiter text file and then import the text file intot he database, it should work. Don't know if this will work or how to do it. Maybe someone else could expand on this idea.

Sure you can...

If you have a ssh access you can connect and use the mysql command line to run the database backup.

Just connect with SSH on your server. Upload your database there with FTP. And use the following command.

cat your_backup_file.sql | /usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql --host=localhost --user=your_username --password=your_password your_database

Of course, you'll have to modify your_username, your_password, etc.

Upload your file anywhere you want, but when you run the command line, you have to be in the directory where the backup file is.

And for the counter I don't use that, but the error message says you have to create the counter in cpanel before to link...
