Dashes or no dashes

Is it better to have dashes or no dashes in a domain name? What is better for search engines?

I think dashes are better for search engines but don't use them in a domain. Or use it and also buy the non-hyphenated version. If you don't, you'll lose a lot of type-in traffic to it

Domains with dashes means that domain have 2 keywords.. Without dashes means that domain have 1 keyword..
It is upto what we want..

i noticed the same thing

for sites i am planning on developing i dont mind if there are dashes in the name because search engines seem to have trouble seperating two words in the domain name if they are together.

Domains with dashes in them are slightly better for SEO purposes but domains without dashes are much easier for people to remember. If you can, just buy the non hyphenated version of that domain, I think it is a smart idea to possibly register both domains to pick up the added traffic from people who type it incorrectly.

I would never buy or reg a dash domain unless I owned the undashed one also.
