Dan, can you tell us when you plan to fix this resolving issue, for example you can say April 1st 2025.

You have tons of tools for sellers, but the most important one is missing: allow domains to resolve to pages under dan.com, instead of domain.tld. Otherwise, a high percent (maybe more than 50 percent) of business is lost, because domains just don't resolve.

We were using a paid DNS service (3 figures per year) for our big site on a dedicated server, and they only allowed 10 domains to be hosted there. You allow millions,.. and they don't resolve, not surprising.

In the past, I had only enabled LTO for my highest pricing tiers. Following DAN's suggestion, I've now done the same for lower tiers, down to a BIN of EUR 2,488 (which is approximately USD 2,675). However, not with very long maturities, but in a way that the monthly amounts for most tiers are just under EUR/USD 1,000 minimum. By not making the total LTO period too long (and consequently not making the monthly amount too low), this gives me confidence that any possible defaults by the buyer will be prevented (well not completely, but I think I will attract more serious buyers). Also, this way, I am not legally bound for too long a period to a construction where the domain name is already being used and I can still be held liable for the content.

I have not enabled LTO for amounts with a BIN of less than EUR 2,488.

Highest tiers are priced in USD, lower tiers in EUR.

Is there any way to set a different "first payment" amount? Like, $1,000 for the first payment, rather than simply dividing the entire amount evenly by X months?

As others noticed there is an extra 4% fee on top of commission for Paypal payouts over 2k. Other marketplaces can send bigger Paypal payouts without any fee so why can't Dan? Can Dan look into removing this fee?

I do not think this option will be granted anytime soon. May I ask why you feel the need to disable this?

IMHO, negative reviews can reduce trust especially if the potential buyer is a real end-user.

Instead of saying which domain it is, I'd love to know how you'll verify which listings belong to this seller and which ones don't.

Why DAN does not show domain expiration dates in a column in the domains for sale dashboard? Even with private WHOIS the domain expiration date is publicly available. DAN should automatically detect the expiration date and show it so that we can easily remove expired domains from portfolio?

Other aftermarket domain services offer such a feature.

Why do I ask, you ask? I just received email from DAN saying they deleted an expired domain from my domain portfolio and not to keep expired domains in portfolio or else the account could be suspended.

With 100's or 1000's of domains in portfolio, it is VERY time consuming to constantly check and manually remove expired domains. At least showing a column for domain expiration date would allow us to sort by the expiration date column and easily bulk remove expired domains.

It is not uncommon where a domain can't be added to DAN because another DAN user has let it expire and they have not removed it from their portfolio. I don't think it's because they don't want to, it's just not easy to sift through 100's of domains and figure out which ones have expired without any easy reference. So then you have to contact DAN request domain to be added, they then have to manually delete the expired domain from other DAN users account and then manually add it to your account.

@LaszloSchenk can you please bring this to the attention of the DAN dev team and ask why is showing domain expiration date not a feature? This would save everyone including DAN support a lot of needless time and trouble since it would make it super easy to find/remove expired domains from our DAN portfolios.

I think "Pay in Installments" wording would be better than the "Lease to own" wording on the landing page

Some other marketplaces use Pay in Installments and I think i'ts more accurate and I'm sure It would improve sales

Dear Dan:

In the midst of sorting out all the confusion about the recent changes, would you kindly stop having sellers again trying to sell names that don't belong to them?

Today, I found a seller listing one of my domains. All of my domains are listed elsewhere, so it's all the more disappointing. This problem with fake sellers on DAN has been raised multiple times in the past with Customer service. The problem for me appeared to be associated with names that had been on Fast Transfer. In fact, this particular domain now shows up as Fast Transfer in my registrar, despite the fact that there was no BIN price at Afternic. It was NOT Fast-Transfer eligible at Afternic.

What is going on? When are you going to address this problem seriously and fix it permanently? Please note, that I am not the only person who found this problem today. So it is affecting others, and needs to stop.

If you are raising your commissions, please also consider raising your standards.

results 2828 - almost entirely make offer or price request, BINs nowhere to be seen

search drone - .com only - min price 101 / max price 149

results 7 - all BIN

So if you list domains for BIN low XXX what are the chances of anyone seeing them unless they move the min price to 101+ ?

Why is min price 0 when min listing price is 100 ?

Why do the BINs not appear first in the search ?

Could there not be a filter for BIN only, BIN with make offer, make offer etc ?

Dan.com is their registered trade name ("handelsnaam") in the Dutch Chamber of Commerce, so it's perfectly fine.

DAN will allow users with Russian IP to make offers and allow you to accept those offers yet will not process payments for those transactions due to anti-Russian sanctions.

If you get an offer from Russian IP tell DAN to inform buyer of this and take transaction to different platform/offsite.

They made a mess of a small sale b/c of this. May have even lost the sale for me - hopefully buyer will try again on new landing page.

While Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are not giving any clue, Brave browser is displaying the following message:
"The website has been blocked as per direction/order of Hon'ble Court"

Please provide some alternative way to access your website or an email through which I can communicate with DAN regarding a pending domain name sale
