My understanding from VESSIO is that he had hurricane IKE damage or at least some effects from the hurricane that impaired his services temporarily. Looks like Galveston got slammed

Hope it wasn't too bad for him, has anyone heard from him on his situation?

Hurricane Ike

Thank you very much Dave for the update; we have been having a rough time here in Houston with all methods of communication; it seems, if the phones are working then power will be out and when the power is restored then the ISPs are experiencing lags and service interruptions. I truly appreciate the mention on NamePros.

For NP members and customers wondering how the impact of hurricane Ike affected the Vessio office located near downtown Houston; I will include a brief update below:

One of the Many Hurricane Ike News Stories www.news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080910/ap_on_re_us/ike_texas

I do apologize as I am aware that some of our clients did not receive our notice sent out last Wednesday before we began backing up and preparing for the storm; we have had some customers report this via support ticket in their (cp).

We had to prepare and leave the office for the hurricane that would be taking place on late last Friday/early Saturday morning which nearly crippled the last half of the work week due to the evacuations from the coast and the time spent on backing up data. As of the latest news report 64% of the Houston area is still currently without power which includes the building our office is located. It has been reported on centerpointenergy.com that power will be restored to our office location on Monday 9/22; I am hoping that power will be restored before the end of this week or maybe even tomorrow, if we could be so lucky. We do have limited remote access to most works mainly files and notes within the vessio.com (cp) system or on the servers.

At this point, we believe to have reached out to all clients' via (cp) or direct e-mail to make them aware of our continued power outage so the minor delays are understood. Please rest assured knowing that no project data has been lost on any accounts and your delivery date should only be affected for the amount of time we are out of power. If you are an existing customer please be sure to check your (cp) account at vessio.com for further updates; and for all future customers please know that new accounts are absolutely still being accepted and attended to.

On a personal note; this has been a very frustrating past week to say the least and I now have a new profound love for gas powered generators.

As always, if you need a more detailed update on one of your projects, site bundle package, or any project or service component you have with us please feel free to e-mail or dial me directly at the information below.

Thank you very much to all for understanding.

On a lighter note: We do have a special "something" in store that will apply to all of our client types, Developers, Domainers, and Freelancers that utilize Vessio for both hosting services and/or development of their projects or domains. Please keep your eyes peeled within the next week.

Thanks again!

Hi,

Yes, if a project is a bit more complex or requires heavy programming, we can then work out a reasonable cost to get the job done :)

Thanks!

My apologies for the unavailability during the weekend, we had a show in Dallas that was attended, all went pretty well but I never enjoy being away from my e-mails and the office in general.

All PMs and e-mails are now responded to, thanks!

I just talked to Mike and he informed me that my forum will finally "Due To Hurricane" be fully completed this week, he's adding some finishing touches.

He says he has added many customizations including a banking system and that it will be very nice. When it's ready to view, I'll let you guys know.

I'm looking forward to getting started.

NP members and customers,

I feel it would be good to post a brief mention of the delays that many of you are experiencing at the moment. Please know that yes, we are quite a bit behind in the delivery of our works, this is due to many reasons including the re-configuring of our own website, moving offices and adjusting to new in-house staff opposed to our previous network arrangement. I can assure you that these delays will be overcome shortly and by no means affect the quality of your delivered work. I am very grateful of the extended patients and understanding through these these few weeks and sincerely apologize if this has caused any inconvenience.

Thank you and please do not hesitate to contact me direct regarding your project or status of your project.

Best,
