Apple Beta Software (https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram) is the first result that comes up - so potential scammers bidding, someone who thinks Apple might buy it from or Apple themselves....maybe?

Not sure exactly, but if no links, where are the visitors coming from? maybe type-in traffic generating revenue? Has search volume and registered in few tlds, indicating there is some interest. Also, check bid history as sometimes bidding wars drive prices to a crazy level. Just imo.

There are tools which can send fake (but real looking) visitors to any domain, google analytics, to increase the "visitors" for that particular domain. So unless it has good number of pages already indexed on google, there is a high chance those visitors are not real but bots/scripted ones! Including the domain in hidden iframes can very well increase the traffic to any amount you want!

Also, I don't think anybody will be hand-typing isobeta.xyz!!! If it was .com one cloud have agreed there can be minor hand-typed visitors, but .XYZ and other extensions will not get this at all unless its a well-known, well-advertised .XYZ brand! And 12K visitors is beyond normal IF the domain has no backlinks!

Third thing is Proxy/bot bidders! There might be such bidder(s) who will spike the price by bidding to lure the real, potential buyers to come and start bid. It happens everyday!

Like now, IF anybody on this forum stumbleupons this thread and they are novice domain buyer/investor, they'll jump the ship :O
