Curious question...free hosting and buying a domain

i want to buy JUST A DOMAIN NAME...but i got some questions...

i don't have problems with my free hosting, infact, my subdomain has 6/10 PR. now im planning on investing just for the domain name now and pay for hosting in the future.

so my questions are:

would it be alright for me to just buy/register a domain name?

how many of you guys host your website on free web servers and then register for your domain name?

Yes buy a domain, take time to get 6/10 PR because its a brand new domain.

you can park a domain on your subdomain so no traffic will be lost and your site will be accessed via the domain or subdomain.
