The Domains is reporting that - Cruise.Discount and Cruises.Discount just sold for $10,000 on the new domain marketplace FreeMarket.com. Must be an anomaly, because the 'experts' here on NP say that 'there is no aftermarket for these new gTLDs' that have only been out for 8 months. ...huh...

just sayin..

There is no aftermarket. These types are one-offs like lotto tickets and 99% will be losers.

You're really not saying anything new, that even people that aren't fans have said.

There will be freak sales, there are with every extension. I pointed out myself .mobi having 11 over $100,000.

Also, you probably should know by now, that it's not a complete sale until it's paid for. This one was just "won" at auction. Nothing about it being complete. There was actually some big blog post/discussion about somebody selling some single character domain early on, only to find out it was never paid for. I have a domain sitting at GD that "sold" for mid x,xxx, except the buyer hasn't submitted funds yet. So it's not a sale.

There are always buyers for good domains regardless if it's .com or not. Accept that, even I know that.
