Hi,

I'm going to develop Credit-Card-Counseling.com, but I would like to hear if anyone think it's worth anything undeveloped. Estibot says 680$. Agree/disagree?

Thanks!

Disagree. IMO: Reg fee. Because it's a long domain with dashes, unless developed , I don't see you getting much out of this.

You could try listing it on Sedo,I have seen names that make no sense to me,and they sell for alot. For the right end user,it could bring a few hundred.

Ok, no offense to the first poster... but reg fee? Are you kidding me? Do a little research before you appraise names. Seriously. I see you post a lot of appraisals on this site and it seems as though you never look into anything other than your personal impression on the name.

Here are the stats for "Credit Card Counseling"
PPC Ads # 93
Max PPC Bid $13.13
MAX PPC Income/day $43.77
Overture/mo 2895
Wordtracker/day 140

Google Keyword Tool puts the searches at 33,100 a month for these terms.

AND Credit-Card-Counseling.net, .org, .info, .us, ect are taken.

PLUS, this domain is just as good for SEO purposes as CreditCardCounseling.com. Google doesn't penalize you for having hyphens. And since most people going to these type of websites are going to be finding them through search engines, you don't need a "brandable" name. It's not the type of site that people are going to need to remember the name to check back in daily.... i.e a forum or blog. So no, the fact that the name is long and has hyphens doesn't really hurt in this case.

Personally, if I owned this name, I wouldn't sell it for anything less than $400. Minimum. And hey, with a $13 click value for these terms, you only need to get a 1/2 click a year to pay the renewal fees......... In fact, if you want to sell if for $400 just pm me. :D

Hyphenated domains are awesome to develop and very underrated (Look at the hypenated sales thread). As long as the hyphen is well placed, they have decent Word Tracker, Google Results, and PPC Ads. This one does.

The hyphenated domain indexes the same way in Google. The downside is you won't get type in traffic. However, 2-3 Word Domains rarely get type in traffic in the first place. You will also lose some traffic to the non hyphen version

But, it is much easier to develop a domain with natural search, than to use a "Brandable" domain.

Thanks Fragger for a very good and explaining appraisal. Reps added to all of you. As mentioned in my post I think I want to develop it, but if anybody offers more than 500$ I'll consider a sale. Thanks again

Spot on , total agreement
Yes Hurley4540, do some research on keywords, Usage, marketplace values and names in general. You have been member here since 2003 and still you think this name is REGFEE??
I would rather a 3 word hypenated Name like this one
than FruitMachineKeys.org (Jeez , now there's some high paying Keywords)
or a proxy Network with the 2c Clicks typical of proxy site traffic

Anders_oie@hotm , you have a great name
Utilised well , It is worth way more than estibot.com's appraisal
$xxx mid to $xxxx low developed
$xxx low to $xxx mid as is
