Cattle (rather than cows per se) are likely to be the planetary saviour. See Savory's TED Talk, https://no_url_shorteners/3hXzvHx

This acquisition could signal a major climate or political campaign in the offing.

So much potential.

Plural too. Folks, bonafide “dictionary” word”

I’m curious what’ll ultimately end up becoming.

IMHO, it definitely was a great deal for the buyer.
Now, was it a good deal for the seller as well? Hmm, that's a tough one!

On one hand, someone who had cows.com (4L.com word), most likely knows more about domaining than I do. S/he must have thought it was a good idea to let the domain go for $125K, so who am I to say it's not a good deal! For whatever reason, it had to be a good deal for the seller as well, otherwise the transaction would not have happened.

On the other hand, considering the strength of the name itself (for any purpose related or unrelated to the name) and also the size of global beef & dairy related products' market, the end user value of cows.com should be 7 figures (or at least mid to high 6 figures) $USD. So in that sense, it doesn't look like a great deal for the seller.

I'm not sure, but I think it most likely was sold to a domain investor, not an end user - I may be wrong of course.

Does anyone here know who the buyer is?

Some related info:

I see people write things like this often with single word sales, what is the obvious usage of the domain though?

6 figures is still a lot of money, I don’t see that much money potentially left on the table personally, I just see it as a fair deal to both buyer and seller.

IMO, the obvious usage is for a milk or leather brand.

I noticed this broker always sells good domains at undersold prices. CMIIW

For example Angel.com, It was sold for $2M, but in 2013 acquired for $110M. My math was never the best, but that sounds like a $108M loss

If the broker sold Cows.com for Tucows.com it might be a different story
