Hey guys!!

Iam coming back after a long time... nice to meet you ppl!!

iam facing a problem here.. I copied a folder worth 20 gb of data into the recycled folder ( Dragged it into the recycled folder.... ). The "recycled" folder is actually hidden... but i enabled the option of showing the hidden files.... and copied the whole folder into it....

But iam not able to find the folder inside recycled now.... Its all screwed up!!!

But the drive is still occupied by 20 gb... I mean it is not fully deleted. my d drive has a capacity of 30 gb and it still shows only 5 gb free.... so it means the folder i copied into "recycled" still exists somehwere....

I want it back... badly!!!

Someone help me out here!!!

Thank you!!

Double click ont he recycle bin.
When it opens on the left hand side bar you will see an option which sez "Restore All"
click on that an dsee if it restores your file.
If not restart ur system and then check again.

"recycled" itself is hidden inside the d drive..... (* i mean each drive has its own "recycled" right?? )

i am not able to find the folder inside.... but i know its still somewhere cuz the drive free space hasnt changed...... 20 gb is still occupied in the drive.... and when i right click "recycled" it still says 20 gb....

and i tried restore all items..... doesnt work

okay firstly if u havent restarted yet and havent been copying stuff after you deleted that folder, then try this:

Double click on the hidden (but now visible) recycled folder. When it opens, right click there, you will see a popup, which may have the option "undo delete". If it is there and you havent deleted anything after that folder, then it will restore the previous delete.
Try it.

If it dont work, restart ur system and check recycled

Cant imageine what might have made it dissapear. Just trying various (safe) ways which mite work :)

How about searching for all files over 100MB? If it's 20GB I'm sure some of it is pretty big.

Make sure "Show System Files" and "Show Hidden Files" are both on.

In the search options, leave everything blank, but tick all the Hidden Files, System files etc, Make sure your searching in the highest possible places, and hope. :)
