Contest Ideas

I'm running out of ideas to make my forum live, and active. I don't know what to do...

I've tried, free domain contests, $15 contests, referral contests, thread making contests, but no one seems to be interested.

I need some ideas on contests that people would be interested in.

My forum is www.ZuneBoards.com so if the contest is Zune related, that would be even better. (Of course, I can't give away free Zunes, for I have no money).

Any Ideas?

ad space to members with 50+ posts

zune skin downloads
art contests
free bb templates

Momentum will build up - it will!

In the meantime I'd reduce the number of fora you have - try and get 4 or 5 active ones rather than the sheer number you have at the moment. As it gets busier you can add more.

Try Zume news, Zume Chat, Techy stuff, random chat for starters - add to it from there.

I really think this will help the place seem busier - having 10 empty forums just looks a bit lonely, and makes it look less busy - it's like eating your dinner off a really big plate! :D

You have some forums which have 0 posts and 0 topics. (Firmwires & Tools)

people will rarely post in the forum which has 0 posts and 0 topics.

Make a topic in each of those forums, maybe a introduction on that particular forum.

Why is Zune Hacks & Mods coming soon?
Are you intergrating extra features just for that? or what?

if its just something your thinking about adding soon, remove it now until you have thought about it.

You need a few 'posting bots' under a few different accounts to keep it fresh through out the day. Depending up have a 'win a zune' contest that will get everyone onboard.

I was going to suggest that. You can hire forum posters to post in your forums.
