but lets go ahead and get started designing for this one...

this contest will be referred to as the:

Project - DomainBELL - eBay - 1


Contest $25. USD - via PayPal

for a banner in various sizes...
for:
DomainBELL
and
DomainBELL.com

Sizes:
200x400
425x200
228x140
392x90
(and possibly one other size)

but may need to tweak that a tad - after I see the submits...

This Contest - will run from NOW
through August 28th....
more than a week
- with the winner to be announced on
Tuesday - August 29, 2006



this banner is planned for use on eBay and elsewhere - it is NOT to have the word eBay on it... it is for sales of domain names.... it can be in any colors... I want it colorful.... and I would like to see and animated version as well if possible... if you don't know how to do animated graphics... enter anyway with a static version...


Winner announcment will be dependent upon thier ability to
provide the winning design in the following formats - with slight tweaking to clients satisfaction
- - - and Winner will be required to respond either via board - PM - or eMail within 24 hours
of WINNER Annoucement on the Board - failure to do so - might result in an alternate - winner being selected...

1. Design to be provided in .jpg .gif (and vector and .png if possible) - on a transparent background
2. coloring changes might be required
3. sizing alterations might be required
4. final WINNING design - - - (once tweaked) - - - to be provided in the following sizes:
200x400 425x200 228x140 392x90 (and possibly one other size)
5. would appreciate a favicon - of whatever element of the design or substitute I request... (if you know how to do a favicon)
6. require that you NOT use any designs contributed in this contest (with my domain name) anywhere for display
7. require that the winner or anyone else in this thread I purchased design pieces from - require those designs
or elements - that you NOT display or reuse those again... in whole or in part...
8. Final winning - design to be provided UN-watermarked via private delivery - in eMail - via either a zip folder or individual attachments
9. Final design to in the domain name of:
DomainBELL and a version in DomainBELL.com


Winner to be paid via PayPal.com - - - PM me your PayPal eMail address...
Winner to be paid prior to deliver of completed project...
Winner to provide completed project withing 48 hours of receiving PayPal payment...
Winner - and anyone else in this thread that would like to (and I hope you all do) - will provide Positive TR feedback for DomainBELL
Client - DomainBELL - to provide reciprocal POSITIVE Feedback to all who participated...

Once the Pilgrim project gets up and going over the next several weeks...
I forsee a need for banner and button designs on nearly a weekly basis for clients... ongoing...
One of the ways I will meet those clients design needs - will be to look to my contests
- for winners and others who placed in the top 5 - to offer design projects to - when the time comes...

I'd prefer the bell to stay next to the domain name and just gently
ring right and left...
and the slogan underneat the scroll domain sales related keywords if possible...

I'd like to see a version like that...

that's nice work...
but I don't like the colors...
it's moving toooo fast...
and I don't like a man's hand all up in my stuff... LOL

by the way - the design does NOT have to have a BELL in it...

make something really colorful... something that will stand out
on a busy ebay page... something where the animation
catches their attention and holds it for a bit while they
see good keywords related to domain name sales
flash (med. speed) in their face... (smile)

I can hardly wait to see the other 2 designs you have...

I don't really like either of these... sorry...

I do like the colors used on the DomainBELL font in the one with the hand....

I don't like the symbols behind the font...
the word fade in is too faded...
I don't like the hand...
Don't want it to say visit now...

and don't like the second one at all...

that's NOT to say that you are a bad designer... NOT saying that at all...
you are a good designer...

I like the starbust with the words Quality Domains...
that was a nice touch...

perhaps put that where you have the check mark...


I don't like the check mark...
I don't like the yellow for this project...

and I want the DomainBELL.com part to remain static
while other text is animated...

other text to be in different colors than the DomainBELL.com
and slightly smaller in size...

and in various spots of the design...
NOT just all aligned under DomainBELL.com

and I don't like a two toned background...

I'm glad you submitted an entry in the contest...

I LIKE it...

the tweaking suggestions I have for you are:

equal spacing with no overlap on the letters of the word Domain

and I'd be worried eBay would frown on my adoption of the exact color order of their logo - that you used on the blocks for BELL
so re-arrange those same colors there...

I previously had told everyone to make the domain name all in ONE line...
(instead of stacked) - - - let's see it like that...

the .com part needs to be 3x larger than you have it there...

and I like the letter blocks - but they look really blurry - can you fix that...

PLUS

there needs to be more words included - that tell the viewer
WHAT DomainBELL is all about - - - ie: domain names
domain sales domain auctions - - - etc... (you get the drift)

?? do you know how to do animation ??

this one has potential with some tweaking...

here's what I'd like to see changed (smile):

of the 2 backgrounds I see...
one being the two-tone red slanted strip - I like that
the other the white patterned overlay - drop that

the font - like it all - except the .com part
I'd like to see that the same as the DomainBELL part
and in one continuous line...
and
I'd like to see the DomainBELL part static...
and the .com part to animate from there to gone
so sometimes it will say:
DomainBELL
and sometimes
DomainBELL.com

I like the outer border...

I don't like the copyright with your name
but I am assuming that's your watermark - that you will remove
if you are the winner - correct ??
