Content writers??

Been over at DNJournal reading the T.R.A.F.F.I.C. article and this jumped out at me

He noted that there are people who will write original 500-word articles for you for $7 each. “You can develop properties without having to write a word,”

Anyone know where these folks hang out? Content is my biggest problem at the moment. I keep getting hit at 7-10 cents/word (even when I can provide reference sources) which I can't justify paying.

I agree with some of the posters that you get what you pay for.
However, it would depend on the circumstances as some people may want a lot of articles on their website and need them at a discounted price (if they don't want to spend too much on their website).

It's a bit naughty, but you could easily rewrite existing articles.

At those prices I think many article writers would do that, unless they're were
particularly talented.

You get what you pay for...

$5 for a 500 word article? Hmmm... Lets say the writer spends one hour on the said aricle. $5 an hour which is already below minimum wage..you will likely get an "original" cut and paste, and a dose of plaigarism.

Most students and Professional writers (I am both) will charge per job, or per word. Expect to pay at minimum, .20 cents a word and up for anything, "original." If you want something fresh, or your topic is obscure, research
adds to the cost.

I agree, You get what you pay for. but You must consider not all freelance writers are from the U.S. There is a lady in India that I have hired too write articles in the past. I read some where that the average salary in india is around $500 (U.S. dollars). I not sure if that is correct but if it is, Then $5 doesn't sound so bad does it.

Yes average salary in India is around $800 dollars.

But content writers make on an average of $26,000 a year.

500 word/page articles are usually researched and written, but researched on the internet itself, an average Indian content writer, writes about 6-8 pages a day, and the Average price is anything between $35-95 per page (depending on the business relationship duration).

Freelance Content Writers are sparse in India, but certainly occupy more than 32% of the content writing market around the world. Americans benefit from outsourcing content development to india, cuz they save $$ by the hour and Indians take up these jobs cause 1USD=44Rupees and $4000 can buy you a car in India.....
And just to tell you why I know so much, I am a content writer myself, and I make my cars by the day
